Beidou POV

(As kids)

"Y/N!!! Found you!" I win the round of hide and go seek.

"Darn it!" She pouted.

"What can I say, I know this ship by heart!" I boast.

"Tch what ever." She rolls her eyes in defeat as her face forms a pink hue to her cheeks.

"Hehe your ears blush too?" I mess with her.

"(Y/N)! Get here now." Her father scolded.

"I have to go...I'll see you later though!" She said as she ran off.

"SEE YA!" I yell back.

Timeskip to present

"Another voyage?" My crew member asks me.

"Yes. Back to Liyue." I order them.

"On it!" My crew says at the same time.

'There's someone I've been looking for...'

(Y/N) POV

I run. As fast as I can.

"GET. BACK. HERE. NOW!" I hear my father yell.

'No, I can't...I've spent so many years in those caves, working for those filthy men in the mines. Every time I stopped working I'd get beat. This is the perfect time to escape.' I thought as I ran as fast as I possibly could.

"DONT LET HER GET TO THE WATER!!" I heard one of the men yell in the distance.

'Dammit, I can't stop...my father...betrayed me. He used me for his mining business, he never even cared how I was treated, half of the time it was him that would make me pay the consequences of stopping.' I ran through the city.

I see the water...almost there.

I hear his men close in on me...JUMP NOW.

I blindly leaped ignoring the fact that I  just jumped into a boat.

"Fuck, RETREAT!" one of the men yell.

'Am I finally safe?' I wonder.

Before I knew it there was a whole crew surrounding me.

"Alright alright, clear the way." I heard a woman's voice.

"Yes Captain." They all said.

As we lock eyes, something seems familiar about this woman.

"I'm captain Beidou" she said as we have the same slightly confused look on our faces.

That's when I realized.

'Could it be?'

"I'm...(Y/N)." I mumble just loud enough for her to hear.

I stand up to dust myself off, suddenly I'm swept off my feet in an instant.

She brought my into an arm locking hug. Stunned for a moment I return the gesture.

'She grew to be such a tall flattering woman!'

She put me down and started examining my state, which wasn't all that flattering at the moment.

I had reopened cuts and bruises scattered on my body.

"What the hell happened to you?" Her voice laced with poison.

"I'd rather not share right now." I passively tried to change the subject.
