I sat down on the couch and tears flowed from my eyes. I tried understanding him but it hurt. After a while I wiped my tears and took my jacket and went to Bella's house ignoring my family who was calling me back.

I drove to her house and realised that she was missing. Charlie was anxious and there were people searching for her. I saw Jacob there and he waved at me dispirited. I went near him and asked "Since when was she missing?"

He sucked his lip in and said "Since she came back from school. " Suddenly I felt a surge of anger. How can those vampires leave us just because they thought that we were in danger. I could protect myself and if necessary Bella too.

I ran into the forest and did the point me spell. I walked a few paths and it became darker. Drizzling started and I finally saw Bella lying on the ground. There were sparks around her and leaves were floating. Wind was fiercely blowing .

I realised that she was emitting magic. I stared amazed at her. She is a latent witch whose powers unlocked when stimulated too much. I projected my magic out which relatively calmed her down and the wind blowed gently and the leaves descended.

The sparks slowly faded and then I saw a man coming from the opposite side. I ran to Bella and tried calling her but she didn't respond. As the man got closer I sensed that he was a shape shifter who was awakened.

He bent down and asked "Are you Bella's friend?" I nodded and said "Ivy Potter. Can you help take Bella back? She is not responding." He nodded and carried her and we started walking. I observed him and saw a tattoo on his hand. I realised that it was the tribe symbol which I read in my textbook.

Soon we reached Bella's house and Charlie and Jacob came running. Jacob pushed my shoulder with his and said "You shouldn't have run off like that. I was worried." I laughed and said "It's alright Jake. I know the woods well. My house is after all in the woods. Anyway Bella is safe. I got to go. My family must be waiting for me."

I drove back anxious to tell them about my discovery. As soon as I reached home I ran inside to see them all anxious. Harry sighed in relief and hugged me. I hugged him back and then dragged him to the couch. After others settled I told them.

"Guys I think Bella is a latent witch. Edward left her at the edge of forest and she wandered inside. When I went in search of her I saw her curled up on the ground with sparks around her and leaves flying. I could sense her magic."

Everyone looked shocked. Andy said "For safety we should check again. Tomorrow why don't you bring Bella here. Maybe you both will cheer up each other." When I heard that I dimmed but agreed. Teddy hugged me and said "Don't be sad Mama Ivy." I smiled and patted his head and went to my room.

As I plopped down on my bed I saw the picture of me and Max on my desk. I almost wanted to throw it against the wall but I stopped myself. I sighed and rolled over and after a while my eyes closed.
