☁️Hanma Shuji x Reader - Change (Part 3)☁️

Ahhhh I haven't written anything in agessss!!
Here's a part 3 since I saw someone wanted one :)

Read the first two parts of this Oneshot before reading!

You stood up up abruptly, looking around. No ones else was around.
'Weird, is the fight over?'
You shook your head, It doesn't matter, Shuji was the only thing you were concerned about.
You crawled through the gap in the gate, finding yourself in an ally way. You jogged to the end of it and looked around. It led to a relatively busy road, the convenience store close by.
'I need to find him.'

You ran to the place where the Toman VS Valhalla fight was held. Surprisingly, police cars had surrounded the area. You didn't stay long, instead, leaving the area and continuing your search.
You had looked around the places where you thought Hanma was, even checking his house.
The sky had darkened by now and lights had begun to turn on.
There was one last place you hadn't checked however.

You stumbled up a steep hill. A memory clear as day came forward in your mind. A gentle breeze swirled at the top of the hill. You and Hanma leaned on the railing looking up at the stars. It was your last night in Japan, and you decided to spend it with your best friend.

Flashback:
"Shuji..."
"......"
"Are you angry at me?"
"......"
"I'm sorry, I don't know what I did wrong, but please don't be angry."
"I'm not angry."
"Why aren't you saying anything?" You stood up and faced Hanma.
He still had his arms on the railing.
"I'm sad (Y/N). I'm sad that you're leaving."
Tears welled in your eyes. You wiped them away.
"Stop it. I don't want to cry in front of you..."
Hanma walked closer to you, he hugged you gently. Cradling you.
"Shuji, I'm sorry! I want to stay here with you."
"I want you to stay too."
"Promise you'll wait for me to come back."
"I promise. I'll wait, I'll wait for you to come back and we can live our lives again." Hanma hugged you tighter.

You looked upwards expectingly.
"Shuji!"
You heard a sigh while panting.
"Slow down, I'm not gonna leave okay?"
He walked to you slowly while you tried to catch your breath.
"I looked for you everywhere, I'm glad I found you."
"You're a lot different to how you were acting while we were fighting."
"That's because-" you locked eyes with him.
"I thought you forgot your promise." You said.
Hanma sighed again and looked at the ground.
"I didn't forget. I just couldn't keep it."
"Whatever, it doesn't matter. Just tell me what happened."
"My parents told me you were coming back, but, I dunno. I was....embarrassed, I guess." He put a hand up to his face.
"When did you get those tattoos?" You straightened up.
"Ages ago. Look, I'm sorry."
You smiled at him and slowly embraced him.
"You got so much taller."
"Sorry..." He placed a hand on your head, fiddling with your hair. His arm stroking your back.
"I felt lonely when you left. I joined because I wanted people around me."
"Really? Are you lying."
"Maybe."
You laughed.
Hanma smiled.
