Rosie didn't realize that it was a big deal till her friends came running up the street.

She was sitting in an ambulance as they stitched her arm up. Her attacker was a few feet away from her being reprimanded.

"Psycho," Serena said as flipped him off. He rolled his eyes and continues to sulk. If it wasn't for her inner voice, she may have never gotten away.

"Am I good to go?" Rosie asked and she was. She stepped out of the ambulance and her friends assisted her.

As she was about to get in a car to go home, until a engine roared as it drove up the street almost knocking down the crime scene tape. It was Elijah's car and he stormed towards Rosie.

"Are you okay?" Elijah asked worriedly and Rosie nodded her head. He looked down and saw her arm.

He then looked up and directed his attention to Rosie's attacker.

"Fucking cunt" Elijah said and Rosie's eyes widened as Elijah managed to slip by the police and beat Rosie's attacker.

This was the first time she saw him lose control. Her first time seeing him punch someone.

"Elijah!" Rosie screamed as the police restrained him. His fists bleed as the police struggled to pull him away.

"I'll fucking kill you!" Elijah screamed trying to get lose so he could beat her attacker again. It seemed as not only did it surprise Rosie but her friends too.

Even Chris and he only met Elijah once. Rosie walked over to Elijah and pulled him away.

"Calm down!" Rosie ordered and Elijah listened. He calmed down and touched her arm gently. He sighed and put his head in his hands.

"Does it hurt?" Elijah asked as he approached her calmly.

Rosie was too shocked to feel any pain but she was sure that she would feel it later. He had lost his temper for the first time.

He only lost it for her. As someone who pretended to like her, he did a very good job of it.

"No, at least not now" Rosie stated and Elijah sighed again.

"I knew I shouldn't have let you take the fucking bus" Elijah replied examining the wound again as if he couldn't believe it was there.

"At least I wasn't murdered" Rosie jokingly said earning a glare from Elijah.

"This isn't a joke Rose, you could've gotten seriously hurt," Elijah told Rosie who sighed. Adding a bit of humor could lighten the mood a bit she thought.

"Sorry, why do you care anyway?" Rosie questioned and Elijah tensed up.

He didn't know how to answer. Why had he cared about her well-being so suddenly? Instead of answering her, he took her hand and led her to his car.

Her friends didn't stop him and neither did Rosie. He drove and he didn't drive her home or say anything.

Rosie wondered why the silence made her feel so empty and alone as if she wasn't accompanied by someone.

Surely enough Elijah drove her to the spot where they sat and gazed up at the stars.

They still sat in silence at the bench but Rosie finally had the courage to look at his hand.

She gently touched his knuckles where he got hurt for punching someone who had hurt her. She was sick of this pretending to care bullshit.

"This is bullshit!" Rosie yelled getting up from the bench. She was starting to care and love him as she did seven years ago.

"What?" Elijah said in a low voice. He looked up to hear what Rosie had to say.

"Why are you doing this to me?" Rosie whispered. She was cracked as she spoke, the lump in her throat quickly came known.

"Doing what Rose?"

"Pretending to care!" Rosie shouted. She was glad there were no people in sight to hear her scream like a crazy lady. She didn't care though.

"You think I'm pretending?" Elijah asked raising an eyebrow like he couldn't believe those words that just came out of her mouth.

"Yes!"

"You don't know anything" Elijah replied.

"Then explain to me Elijah" Rosie begged putting a hand on his arm. He shrugged her hand off.

"There's nothing to explain, we should go" Elijah replied.

"I'm not going with you," Rosie told Elijah. She wasn't going to get in the car until he explained himself.

"Get in the car before I put you over my shoulder and carry you there myself" Elijah threatened but Rosie stayed where she was. She was going to put up a fight.

"No"

Elijah nodded his head and walked towards her. Rosie stupidly tried to run but he caught up with her.

He pulled her by the arm before bending down and throwing her over his shoulder.

"Put me down Elijah!" Rosie yelled trying to get off his shoulder. He held her tightly and Rosie could imagine how much his smiling right now.

He put her inside his car and put strapped her with a seatbelt. Rosie unbuckled the seatbelt and tried to get out but Elijah had locked the doors.

He got in the driver's side and pulled her arm so she could face him.

"Let me out" Rosie ordered but Elijah didn't budge.

"Sit still would you?" Elijah replied denying her request. He drove before she got a chance to get out. She was seriously considering jumping out of the car while he was driving.

"I hate you" Rosie blurted out and Elijah chuckled. Rosie banged her fists on the dashboard because he wasn't taking things seriously.

"Calm down"

"You're telling me to calm down? You're unbelievable" Rosie sighed and folded her arms.

She tried to hide the pain that struck in her arms when she hit the dashboard. She would rather sit in pain than tell him that it hurt.

"Did you ever really love me?" Rosie inquired and Elijah's smile faded.

He didn't answer her. He did however stop the car and she got out. If he was ever going to say anything, it would be in front of her face.
