Rosie was nervous as she went into the office. Would she pretend as nothing happened or would she embrace Elijah in a hug?

It would probably be better to pretend in case the press got a picture of them. Elijah was a public figure and she didn't want Talia to see.

She put her bags down and took her phone out to text Chris about the pretzel bites that were baking in the oven.

In case he forgot that it was in there. She put her phone down and went outside to get Elijah's daily order of breakfast only the delivery man wasn't the only one waiting for her.

"Bitch" people screamed at her and before she knew it, eggs were being thrown at her. As well as a picture of Elijah and Rosie kissing out in the open last night.

Flour bombs were going to get thrown at her until someone pulled Rosie in and took the flour bombs for her.

Rosie looked up to Elijah who had been holding her head against his chest. People stopped when they realized who they'd been it throwing at.

"I want you to listen carefully so you can quote me on this, Rosie did not seduce me, I was her first love seven years ago and if anything I seduced her" Elijah defended Rosie.

He put his hand around her waist and pulled her behind him away from the camera view.

"Flour bombing and throwing eggs at someone is considered assault, anyone who had been involved will hear from my lawyers! I will not tolerate anyone abusing my wife" Rosie gasped at the word "wife".

Elijah pulled her away from the press who kept asking questions about how a simple girl like Rosie caught his attention.

When in fact, he caught her attention first. Instead of going to be to the office, he drove her to his home. Elijah told Rosie to take a shower and gave her fresh clothes.

"Thanks for this" Rosie said walking into Elijah's room. He was sitting waiting patiently at his desk. When he saw her, he smiled brightly.

"Come here" Elijah demanded in a polite tone and Rosie walked towards him and sat on his lap while wrapping her arms around his neck.

He had encircled her around her waist and he rested his head on her chest sighing.

"I'm sorry for the press" Elijah apologized and Rosie hugged him.

"It's not your fault"

"But it is" Elijah disagreed. Rosie rolled her eyes. There are some things in this world that you can't control.

"I should've protected you," Elijah said gently brushing his lips against hers.

"You can't protect me from everything Elijah" Rosie started kissing him on his temple.

"What did you mean by my wife?" Rosie asked suddenly and Elijah chuckled.

"Caught that didn't you?"

"Hm"

"That's what I consider you as" Elijah replied. Nice save.

Rosie didn't question any further, she's afraid the conversation might lean into a marriage which she was not ready for.

"Have you ever had a goal and completed it?" Rosie asked.

She was hoping to get a second opinion or inspiration as an answer to her writer's block. Maybe even get the confidence to write.

"Yeah, and it's working progress" Elijah replied. At least he working on that. Rosie hasn't even started.

"That's not completely true," her subconscious said that sitting on Elijah's bed. She always came at the wrong times.

"I'm not gonna take any offense to that but the idea you had last night was progress enough," her subconscious said before disappearing.

Rosie hated to admit it but her subconscious can be a bit helpful and it motivated her sometimes.

"Do you want to go to the movies with me?" Rosie asked and Elijah pretended to be shocked.

"Are you asking me on a date?" Elijah gasped. Pretending to faint as a celebrity asked him out on a date.

"Yeah I am" Rosie giggled at his pretending to be shocked performance.

"Fine! But no touching me" Elijah acted like a girl. Rosie giggled as he tickled her stomach.

He lifted her off the chair and put her on the ground swiftly.

Rosie had gone home and put on a cute long maxi dress with heels then went back to Elijah's place. He had casual clothes on and still he looked mesmerizingly perfect.

"I was thinking and I figured the indoor theater was too humid and boring so..." Elijah pulled her to the backyard where a projector was. There was a mini picnic on a white sheet.

"It's beautiful," Rosie said and Elijah guided her towards the sheet. They sat down and enjoyed the movie while the air sat just right even at night.

Rosie was laying in Elijah's arms while watching the movie "Cinderella".

Rosie felt her gut twist as she envied Cinderella in that beautiful blue dress while the crowd stared at her dancing with a prince.

"I can't believe I'll never get to imagine what that feels like," Rosie said.

Elijah blinked and pulled her closer into him. She snuggled into him trying to not sleep and Elijah noticed how she desperately tried to stay awake.

"C'mon Iets go to bed" Elijah suggested trying to get up but Rosie pulled him down.

"No I'm not tired," Rosie said but Elijah sighed and picked her up in his arms.

"Don't drop me" Rosie warned and Elijah chuckled.

"I'll try not to" Elijah walked up the stairs to his bedroom when he knocked her head against the door frame. Rosie abruptly woke up.

"Ow!" Rosie said putting a hand to her head. Elijah apologized profusely putting her on the bed trying to rub the spot where he accidentally hit her head.

"What is that?" Rosie asked and Elijah followed her gaze that was sitting on his desk. A doll sat on the desk and Rosie walked towards it.

"It's nothing, come back to bed," Elijah said and could hear the nervousness in his tone.

She went over to the desk and picked the doll up. It looked exactly like the doll she'd lost a good few months ago. She looked at the tag and gasped.

"Why do have my doll?" Rosie demanded and Elijah got up from the bed.
