"Oh don't be such a killjoy," Sunghoon whined, playing with the ends of Jaeyun's hair.
It'd been around forty-five minutes to one hour since Jake asked Sunghoon to lie down with him. And oh boy was he regretting it now (not really).
"If my pretty face has dark circles tomorrow I'm never forgiving you," the younger boy huffed as he turned away from Sunghoon.
Sunghoon was a playful demon, he loved seeing Jake whine and get mock-upset with him. Nevertheless, he knew his limits. He'd eventually let Jake sleep if needed.
The demon reached forward in the darkness, feeling again for the brunette's soft hair. That was his new hobby — fiddling with Jake's hair while the latter asked him to let him sleep. Once he found it, a smile crept up his lips and his hazel eyes glinted with happiness as his fingers began making tiny braids in Jake's hair.
Even though Jake looked supremely frustrated, he kinda enjoyed it. As much as he wanted to sleep, he also wanted to remain like this for a long time.
"Hoonie?"
"Hmm?"
"Moon or stars?" The raven was a little surprised by this abrupt question.
"Hmm... I think I pick you instead," Sunghoon replied, causing Jake's cheeks to flush red and his heartbeat to quicken as a pair of strong arms wrapped around the younger's waist.
After a failed attempt to ignore the bubbling inside his chest, the younger sighed and moved slightly deeper into Sunghoon's hold, only hoping that his action wasn't too noticeable. Alas, Sunghoon did notice, and his smile got wider.

"Jake? Are you awake?"
"Stupid question, Hoonie." A tiny chuckle escaped both their lips.
"You'll do my nails again some day, right?"
"You like the nail polish, don't you," Jake teased, earning a little smack on the forearm from Sunghoon.
"No it's kinda fun to watch you struggle with opening the bottle caps, and also fun to watch you struggle with not getting the nail polish on my skin," Sunghoon lied. Well, it wasn't a complete lie, but the truth was that, yes, he did enjoy it. He loved watching Jake's face contort into little nose scrunches when he was making every effort to not be messy, and of course, who doesn't love nail polish?
"Idiot."
"Your idiot, you mean," the older flirted once again causing Jake to eyeroll and laugh.
In all honesty, Jake had gotten used to the flirting, and most definitely enjoyed it, though he didn't admit it.
After the room was quiet for another 10-20 minutes, Sunghoon decided that Jake should get the rest he deserved, and so he sent Jake drifting off to dreamland very gently.
Upon looking at Jake bathed in the moonlight which filtered in through a tiny crack in the blinds, Sunghoon whispered, "God, you're so beautiful," while stroking the side of Jake's cheek.
He wouldn't be surprised at all if he ended up turning into a human one day.
