Aquaman | Walk the Moon

I stood in front of the mirror next to Zayn, toothbrushes in between our lips, mouths full of foam. I couldn't stop giggling, couldn't stop sneaking glances at him every five seconds or so. As weird as it sounded, as simple as it was, I found a bit of happiness from the current situation at hand.

Everything just felt so domestic. From brushing our teeth together, to waking up next to each other, to eating breakfast in the mornings, it was something I couldn't picture myself without. It felt nice because Zayn and I were going to be moving in together soon and it was exciting to know that this was how things between us would be. At least I hoped it would.

Once I finished brushing my teeth, I ran my brush under the water to clean it off and put it back in its place. I figured that Zayn was done as well since he'd done the same thing. But when I leaned over to spit, so did Zayn, and before I knew it our heads were crashing together and a loud groan was falling from my lips.

Ow.

My hands immediately flew up to caress the tender spot. Zayn crowded around me, hands raising to cup the sides of my face gently.

"Ah, babe, m'sorry," he cooed, thumbs rubbing along the line of my jaw. He then leaned forward after pushing my hands aside to to press a kiss to my forehead, right above where our heads collided. "You okay?" He chuckled a bit under his breath. I didn't find it funny.

"S'not funny," I pushed my lower lip out before reaching up to message my head. I frowned once I felt a little knot growing on the surface. I didn't think he hit my head that hard, but apparently I was wrong.

"You've got a knot," Zayn pouted, smoothing my hair away from my face. He kept trying to keep his laughter at bay, but he wasn't doing himself much justice.

"You don't say," I mumbled sarcastically, squinting my eyes. Of course I had a knot on my head. All thanks to Zayn and his hard head.

But I didn't mind exactly. It was a funny situation after all. Something that would be a nice joke to tell someday.

"Someone's a little feisty, yeah?" Zayn raised his thick eyebrows, smirk so evident on his face.

"This is all your fault," I shook my head. I moved over so that I could raise myself up to sit on the counter. The water was still running from the sink beside me so I reached over to shut it off.

"Okay, I'll take that," Zayn shrugged. He walked a few steps forward so that he was stood directly in front of me. He held out his arms and placed both hands on either side of my waist.

"I could totally use this to my advantage," I sent him a huge grin, wriggling my eyebrows.

"No, I don't think so," Zayn shook his head. "You can't use an accident against me. That's shit."

I laughed out loud. "You know what else is shit? Having a huge knot on your forehead for the whole world to see. That's shit."

"You're so evil," Zayn's lips started to curve up into a grin. "I like that. A lot."

"Hmmm, really?" I challenged, wrapping my legs around his waist to bring him closer so that we were chest to chest.

"Mhm," he started to crane his neck upwards, but I pulled away before his lips could come in contact with mine. I secretly smirked to myself when I noticed the clear pout on his face. "Sorry, my head hurts. Maybe next time." I winked before pushing him aside so I could hop off the counter and make my way out of the bathroom.

I heard Zayn mutter a quiet tease underneath his breath and that was all it took for me to feel accomplished. I was always up for a bit of fun.
