Prologue (Part 3): The Cataclysm

Akihiko's POV. Inazuma, Tenshukaku. The Era of Cataclysm, 500 years ago.

Another disaster fell upon Teyvat.

A disaster we never expected.........

A disaster that I could say even more horrifying than the Archon War itself.

Monsters born from darkness and corruption.........spread throughout the world.......

But what became the cause of the creation of these monsters......?

I didn't know the answer until...........

I found out the root cause of it.......

The Arrogance of Humanity.

Before I came to that conclusion........

I focused first on taking up my sword once more, to protect Inazuma from the forces of the Abyss.

Makoto: Akihiko........

I was about to lead a campaign to banish the Abyss out of Inazuma, when Makoto went to me, tugging my haori......

I can see from her eyes that she is worried for my safety.

Akihiko: Don't worry, Makoto.

Akihiko: We'll end this quickly.

Makoto: Please, come back safely.

Makoto: If you don't then........

Makoto: I won't be able to forgive you if you don't come back alive.

I smiled.

Akihiko: Then what if I didn't come back?

Akihiko: Does it mean you're going to harbor hatred towards a dead person?

Makoto: Just shut up and come back alive! That's an order!

Akihiko: *sigh*

Akihiko: You got it. I'll definitely come back alive.

I left and went to start the campaign once more. With Ei, Takamine, and Chiyo.

Takamine: Your Eminence......

Akihiko: Let's banish these bastards upon this fair land.

Akihiko: For the people of Inazuma.......

Akihiko: We can just ponder whatever or whoever caused this calamity. For now......let's focus on eliminating these hideous monsters.

Akihiko: To arms!

Akihiko: Let them hear and tremble upon the might of lightning and thunder!
