AN: Hello! The new chapter here! I've received some feedback from the last chapter about adding too much Spanish dialogue, I would like to apologize about such, I tend to really like adding these dialogues with colloquial words to add some contrast around all the English wroten here. I simply add it a lot because is my mother language, it's nice to include colloquial words, and some of the stuff I want to say is better in Spanish. I feel like adding translation is quite annoying at some points and erases some of the meanings.

But if you want some less Spanish dialogues just tell me and I'll work on it! I'm up to accepting constructive feedback, although of it I won't use it here tho, but maybe in other future histories!

Well, I have rambled on too much, enjoy the Chapter! It's quite a time skip, but I don't have the creativity to continue with a lot of redundancy, so most chapters will be story-wise or simple things I want to write!

The Past

Birthdays, anniversaries, some engagements, nephews are born and new food recipes are discovered, a lot happens in two years like the blink of an eye if one enjoys life or some of its moments.

Maru is 18 and Bruno is 19, and their friendship still holds up even more than ever, not kids anymore, just two dumb barely young adults who got along better than ever.

The Salazar's eventually moved to the old storehouse, even moving back Jacobo and Sarita with their spouses. Guadalupe and Marulanda stayed at their old house, after all, they always loved the work at the store and couldn't really leave. Alejandra and Felipe Salazar were born, now Marulanda was an aunt and made her visit the toddlers many times, more than she could ever count.

-So, what do you think?-

-Lemme read it first Flaco, damn-

As Marulanda and Guadalupe managed now the store principally, Maru couldn't afford to go outside a lot, especially during those seasons where more customers appear and orders go crazy, money is good, but the workloads aren't.

For such, Bruno's presence at that house and store was a usual sight, even Lupe liked to hang around too; a plate of arepas that usually were in the window eventually moved back to the kitchen, both sitting down and talking while eating, a little "tradition" they kept.

-... Y?-

-Pero si sera' cansón, dame 2 minuticos a ve'-

On a calm afternoon, Maru was checking one of Bruno's scripts at her home, all of them were good, but asked Marulanda to check them first. They were usually long, so it always took some time to read and analyze.

-I'm done- she left the script on the table, a soft small smile while reading

-And??-

-I like it, it's good. How many times do I have to tell you that Brunito?- She laughed, hitting him with the script then handing it over. -Although...-

She couldn't put her finger correctly in what was missing, it was hella good, but the ending wasn't that climatic, either a happy, sad, or auto conclusive ending-

-Yes?-

-What if... a ve'...- She tapped the table frenetically with her nails, waiting to decipher what was truly needed.  Bruno just stayed silent was she figured it out, not wanting to mess with her thinking at the moment.

-Oh! Got it!- Maru smiled as she snapped her fingers, her expression lightening up while reaching the ending of the story, signaling the ending phrases. -Kids will see the show right?-
