It was New years Eve around 9:30pm when Dani finally arrived at Wilburs. They had planned to hang out for the New years countdown and then Dani would just sleep over at Wilburs afterwards instead of driving back to her place.

Dani walked up to Wilburs door and did what she said she would, knocking on the door and then ringing the door bell 5 or 6 times.

Although she still walked in afterwards because Wilbur didnt lock his door.

"Hey im here" She called out into his flat

"Thanks for clarifying I couldn't tell by the doorbell" Wilbur answered walking over to greet her from his living room "I put on an impractical jokers episode, thank you so much for showing them to me"

"Hey, just letting you know I wasn't some a serial killer" Dani said giving him a hug.

"Missed you"

"You just saw me a couple days ago"

"Yeah but I still missed you"

"Okay chill out" Dani lauged, pulling out of the hug. "What episode"

"I don't know, one of the newer ones. Pretty funny though"

"Ah I see, have the pizza's gotten here yet"

"Not yet they'll be here soon though, uh hey, I remembered that your birthday is the third right? so i got you something"

Wilbur walked into a different room and then back out carrying a small-ish giftbag "Here, open it" he said, handing it to Dani

Dani took it and walked over to the counter, setting the bag on top to open it, when she did, she pulled out a small succulent.

"It's a small replacement for the plant your neighbor's dog broke a while back when you watched him, and of course places dont have any good plants because its December, but i thought something was better than nothing" Wilbur explained

"This is great yeah it'll fit right in with the other plants I have, thank you!"

After that they sat down at watched some more of Impractical Jokers until it was almost time to countdown to the new year

"5 minutes left" Dani said, looking at the time on her phone

"5 whole minutes, I almost feel like we should say something like a speech"

"What is there to say?"

"I dont know like maybe say what the best or worst part of 2021 was?" WIlbur turned to face towards Dani on the couch "or like what we hope to accomplish in 2022"

"Okay uh, probably the best part of the year was getting your wrong number text, without it we wouldn't have met, i wouldn't have met so many new people either what about you?"

"Probably me too, well mistaking Tommy's number for yours and meeting you, and probably also how far I've come with my music and streaming and everything. without all that I wouldn't be where i am now y'know"

"Here's to another hopefully fulfilling year" Dani smiled

"Cheers"

The last few minutes were up and Dani and Wilbur started counting down as one does at midnight on New Years Eve.

"8- okay?"

"like boyfriend and girlfriend? 7-6"

"6- yeah"

"okay- 5"

"Oh okay" and so he did, they shared a New Years kiss, a good way to start the New Year. Dani did end up staying over at WIlburs that night, and then she drove home in the morning.
