Dani held up her end of the bargain, stopping at a local Tesco the following week before heading to Wilburs.

She went inside and grabbed a bottle of cyan-ish nail polish to which she desperately tried to match it to what Wilburs favorite colour was, not getting it completly but it was close.

A bottle of black, just because. A bottle of green which was her recent favorite colour. Grabbing some acetone and small box of Q-tips she headed out, shooting Wilbur a quick "On my way!" text to which he responded which a simple "Ok"

Dani walked in Wilburs house after ringing the door bell and knocking a few times, and handed him the bag. "Here"

"Whats this?" he asked

"The stuff to paint your nails, and maybe I'll paint my as-well to match"

"Okay"

Dani pulled him into a hug, he hugged her back still holding the bag. "I missed you" her voice was muffled by his shirt but he still heard her "I missed you too"

The two of them went and sat down at Wilburs coffee table. Dani sat across from Wilbur on the ground. "Lay your hands flat" he did as told.

"I got both of our favorite colors to use" She informed him

Dani laid out the nail polish's on the table, she first uncapped the blue and slid her other hand under Wilburs, starting with his index finger, painting it the cyan-y blue.

"So Ive been think- thinking about going to America, just to i dont know visit" Wilbur asked "Would that be okay with you? if i went?"

"Why are you asking my permission? If you want to go to America, go to America" Dani answered

"It would only be a few days, maybe a week"

"Okay, thats fine I trust you to take care of yourself, like i said if you want to go somewhere its fine by me" Dani said, moving onto his other hand.

Dani had left his ring fingers empty, planning on painting those green. Then when she did hers, they would be mostly green and then her ring fingers would be the cyan. So their nails would match in a way.

Wilbur reached over carefully with his other hand that Dani wasn't currently painting with and grabbed his phone. He successfully went into Spotify and played something from their shared playlist the two have been working on

Dani finished with the green "Okay, im done with yours, dont touch anything. Let your nails dry. You can also blow on them too" Dani informed him. She then started painting her own nails

"When were you thinking about leaving" Dani asked, not fully focused on him

"I think maybe next week? I'm not entirely sure, i'll ask later"

Wilbur watched Dani as she painted her nails, watching how she made the brush strokes. He'd look up occasionally to see watch her face as it was focused.

"I should have gotten a topcoat" Dani said "That way the polish would last a little longer, its okay though"

Once she was done she set the bottle aside "do you want to watch a movie or something?" she asked

"Sure, if you want first I want a picture" Wilbur grabbed his phone and opened the camera app, posing his hand as dani posed hers and took a selfie "We're so cute"

Wilbur quickly made it his background on his phone, he jokingly also asked for Dani to just take a photo of him as he did a blank face holding his hands up, posting it to his instagram story

They decided instead of watching a movie, watching old re-runs of The Golden Girls on hulu. Only because Dani saw it as they were searching and pleaded for them to watch it

They started on episode 1 of season 1 and made it through about six episodes before Dani got bored.

these are short but tbh im running out of ideas and motivation
so idk how many chapters will be left

i see and appreciate every notification i get from you guys and i want to give you more of this

i was gonna have this chapter be more than just wilbur telling dani about the trip and was gonna add some fluff or something but idk how to do that without hating it
