Ren's POV
It's about that time of the year. Where the weather gets cold and the holiday spirit starts spreading around.
"Ren dear, you look like you've been contemplating something all day" my aunt asks me
"Aunt Mai...Eri's Christmas party is in a couple hours and I still don't have a present for her!" I panic
"Ren, you've been giving her Christmas presents for 8 years straight. I think she'll be okay if you miss one" she says
"I-I can't just not get her something! Because then what if she gets me something?! Then it'll be all awkward!" I say
"Sigh...You really do remind me of your father back when we were your age. Always panicking about what to get your mother for Christmas" she says
"Aunt Mai, now isn't the time to be lamenting..." I say
"Right, well...How about you head to the shopping district and browse around? Here, I'll even lend you some money" she says while digging through her purse
"Th-That's not necessary! I've gotten my own money I can use-" she cuts me off by shoving money knit my hand
"Just take it, young man. Use it to buy something she'll love" she says with a stern tone
"O-Okay. I'll do my best" I say
I grab my bag as I pocket the money. I put on my coat and start heading out the door.
"I'll probably be back after the party, you sure you don't wanna come?" I ask
"Oh heavens no. I'll leave the partying to you kids" she says
With that, I head out the door and once I've made sure nobody is looking, I climb up the side of the apartment and once I'm at the top, I change into my homemade er...hero suit and web shooters.
"I've got no time to waste, I've gotta get a present and fast!" I think
I jump off the building and start swinging over to the shopping district.
I'm another part of town...
Lee POV
"Lee would you hurry up! For someone with super speed you take forever to get ready!" I hear my sister say as I take my sweet time getting myself ready in the bathroom
"Sis, you can't rush perfection! I've gotta make sure I look perfect for tonight. Cause once Eri sees how amazing I look, I just know that she'll fall head over heels for me" I say as I slick back my hair...only to mess it back up cause it looks weird slicked back
"Why couldn't Mr.Ryuji get us an apartment with two bathrooms..." I hear her say as she walks away from the door
Tonight is THE night Mr.Zhang! Once this night is over, I can say goodbye to the single life!" I say
Once I finish getting ready, I zoom out into the bathroom and into the living room.
"It's about time" she complains
"Sorry sis, but I've gotta dress to impress" I say
"Sigh...Did you even buy her a present?" She asks
"Of course I did, I've got it right here" I say
I quickly pay around in all my pockets and dig through my bag. But I freeze in place as I don't find anything.
