Ryuji POV
Today is the day of the Hero Chart showing. But more importantly I'll also be taking Toru out to one of my favorite restaurant today. Right now everyone else is in the common room watching the showing, but I've never really cared about all that so I decided to work Toru's gift that I'm gonna give her.
"Sir, is this really a gift you should give to a lady?" Arvin asks
"You mean to tell me that if you were a girl, you wouldn't want something like this?" I ask
"I can think of at least a dozen things that your average lady would prefer" he says
"Well Toru isn't just your average lady...she's a lot more special" I say
"I suppose you're right. You and Toru are anything but your average pair" He says
"You're definitely right about that" I say
"Not gonna deny about you two being a pair?" He asks
"Why would I? It's not like I'd be bothered or offended by it. I'd actually rather enjoy it" I say
"You're no fun anymore. I remember when you and Toru first met, you both were always so awkward with each other" he says
"That was also when I didn't like people" I say
"Hey Ryu, mind if I come in?" I hear Toru's voice
I panicked which causes my to drop my tool onto my foot.
"Ow!" I shout as I go to grab my foot
My head then hits the table and I stumble backwards.
"Arvin, hide the present!" I whisper shout
"On it sir" he says
Arvin hides the present so that Toru doesn't find it.
"Is everything ok in there?" I hear her ask
"Everything is fine! You can come in!" I respond
"What happened in here?" She asks as she looks at my tools spilled everywhere
"Uh...just having a tool on the floor party" I say
"You dropped your tool, didn't you?" She asks
"Yeah I dropped my tool" I say
"And you hit your head" she says
"Yeah I hit my head" I respond
"And your foot" she says
"And my foot...It's scary how much you know me" I say
"It's both a gift and a curse" she says
"Well I can say for sure that knowing you is a gift" I say while standing up
I see her turn around.
"Sh-Shut up..." she says
"So, what did you need?" I ask while cleaning up my tools
"I just wanted to ask when we'll be leaving" she says
"Sometime after the rankings are over" I answer
"Ok, I'll change into my dress once the showing is over" she says
"Speaking of a dress. The dress I gave you is more of a party dress rather than a restaurant dress" I say
"There's a difference?" She asks
"Not really, I just needed an excuse to buy you this dress. It's already fine tuned to your size so no need to worry" I say as I grab a box and hand it to her
