{ Ashton }

I got to the school Holland teaches at and parked where she normally does. I had brought her to work this morning because I'm reading a book to her class and when I get done, it'd be time for the kids to go home and for her to leave.  Plus we're going away for the weekend and are leaving when she gets off.

I got out of the car, which happened to be Holland's Range Rover, and put my mask on then headed inside, stopping by the office,

"Hey. I'm Ashton Irwin. I'm Holland's fiancé. I'm reading to the class" I informed,

"Yeah of course. Just sign in for me" the lady smiled. I nodded and filled out the little paper then headed down to Holland's classroom.

I reached her classroom and opened the door, finding the room empty except for Holland who was sitting at her desk,

"Hey honey" I spoke, closing the door behind me,

"Hey" she grinned, looking up from whatever she was doing, "The kids are at recess, so since we're the only ones in here you can take your mask off"

I laughed and pulled it off then walked over and pecked her lips and sat it the smallest chair possible at her desk,

"I'm not gonna be able to get up" I joked,

"Oh I know" she laughed, "So, just to warn you, they will hound you with questions"

"I figured since they are five and six"

She smiled then checked the time and stood,

"I gotta go get them from recess. You can take my chair" she told me and put her mask on.

Once she left the room, I put my mask on and took her chair, which was much better than the kid chairs. I got nosy and started looking at the things on her desk. She had a calendar with everything she needed for school in it. Her laptop was up with her email opened. She also had a couple pictures of us on her desk. Then I saw the book I was going to read to the kid: If You Give A Mouse A Cookie.

The classroom door busted open and a bunch of kids walked in with Holland right behind them,

"Please sit at your desk!" she called out then stood in front of the class, "Okay class! Today we have a super special guest and he's gonna read you all a story. Can you all look to my desk and wave to Mr. Ashton!"

All the kids waved and one raised her hand,

"Yes Lily?" Holland called on her,

"Is that your crush?" She asked and all the kids piped in. Holland looked at me with a laugh,

"Yes that is my crush"

"Mr. Ashton! Do you have a crush on Miss Evans?" A little boy asked me,

"I do"

"Okay guys" Holland grabbed their attention, "Go sit on the rug for story time"

All the kids got up and went over to the rug area. I grabbed the book and walked over, Holland and I sitting in the two beanbags in front of the kids,

"You're tall Mr. Ashton" a little girl told me,

"I am tall" I laughed,

"Okay" Holland chuckled, "since you guys seem to have a lot to say, how about we take a few minutes and you can ask Mr. Ashton some questions"

I smiled. Kids are very interested. I was also kinda wanting to hear what they ask because kids will say whatever,

"Okay, James, ask your question?"

"What is your favorite color?" he asked,

"My favorite color is probably red" I answered,

"Do you love Miss Evans?" a girl spoke out. I chuckled and looked at Holland who was a little red now,

"I do love her" I answered, "She's pretty amazing isn't she?"

Al the kids nodded,

"Okay, how about Mr. Ashton reads to us now" Holland stepped in,

"Yeah!"

"Well the kids loved you" Holland chirped once we got in the car,

"I never realized how nosy kids are" I laughed, pulling out of the parking lot and getting on the road,

"They ask about you all the time" she smiled, "but no more school talk. Time for our little weekend"

I chuckled and got the address into the GPS. We were going to a little resort just past San Diego. It's an adults only resort but is supposed to be super cool and romantic.

"I'm excited for this" Holland spoke, taking my hand in her lap, "I mean, we go away for little weekends but usually we're camping in the back of the truck. I'm excited for something like this. It'll be different"

"Me too honey" I glanced at her, "I heard they've got couple massages and yoga and stuff here"

"We're definitely doing the massage" Holland's eyes widened,

"They also have a nice restaurant there which I got reservations for tomorrow night" I added,

"I can't wait"
