Falling through the sunshine
like winter on a sunny day
like snow deep in your mainlines
its remarkable ,the beauty it displays
The wind is very absent
hot showers live the sky
the sun is still present
what wonders does it signify ?
An elephant in birth ,
or the crowning of a lion .
whatever can bringforth this mirth
from this January Rain.
Dry earth arises
to smother everywhere
the odor agonizes
my olfactions are in despair
The rain minifies
leaving dirt on our skins
like acid left to burn our bodies
dark markings did it bring
Suddenly the wind passes by
with a hat and a grey coat
it waves to the harmattan
leaving it a small note
“Welcome to your new beginning
our gift from our friends above
we've all gathered here basking,
wishing you a happy new year beloved. ”
