Feeling sorry for yourself, having not moved at all in the past ten or so minutes, you barely heard the opening of the door to the room above.
"(Y/n)??" Kim's voice called, noticing the strange disappearance of several cloth items. You heard her shuffle stuff around up there a couple times, her calls for you gaining more and more worry each time. You wished to be done with this; magically teleport to how things had been before. But, knowing that simply wasn't possible, you finally built up the courage to get some help.
"Mhurr.. k...Kimm." Your mouth opened lazily, merely a groan oozing forth from it. The girl's steps quickened in your direction, and, leaning over the balcony railings, she gasped.
"(Y/n)!!" She squealed at the sight of you on the ground like that. Most of you was surprisingly fine. It was just the complete giving up of everything that had you metaphorically chained to the concrete pathing below. Quickly, Kim ran back out of the room in a panic. It wasn't until maybe five minutes later that she shoved herself out a double door on ground level, a couple alarmed guards behind her. "Here she is! (Y/n)!" Kim ran to your side, falling on her knees. Already, tears were in her eyes, dreading the worst. But then you just looked back up at her, no sign of dying or even fogginess in the eyes. Just extreme pain and a lost, dull look in your eyes. "Wh- where does it hurt??" She asked you directly. You huffed, not wanting to answer that for obvious reasons.
"...Everywhere.." You groaned non specifically. You weren't exactly lying either. With the way you landed, you would probably have bruises all up and down your body for WEEKS! But nothing was as bad as your broken wing.
"H- hurry! Someone go get a doctor!" Kim ordered behind her. One of the two guards rushed back inside for exactly that. The other stood watch, assessing your pain level from further away.
"No. Nohhh, I'm fine, Kim.." Tiredly, you placed a hand on her shoulder, trying to smile at her through the pain. "I just need to get- aaa!" Attempting to sit up, your wing --the right one-- was moved a little too much, waking another bolt of pain rom within it.
"Are you kidding me?! You fell like fifty feet!!! It's a miracle you're still alive."
"Only fifteen to twenty.." You corrected, eyes now a little too hazy to stay in one place.
"Still!"
"Just- please... At least get me to our bed.." You asked of her.
"Why?!"
"Just because!... I feel safer in there.." You admitted. "Plus, a mattress is at least softer than this ROCK!" Kim couldn't keep herself from smiling slightly at your comment. "Now help me up... I know I can at least walk."
Unable to argue her case well enough against your stubbornness, Kim helped you up slowly, with the guard's distant help guiding you back to the room. You refused to let either of them touch your back in the process, knowing full well your right wing was one touch away from falling and dragging on the floor for all to see. One agonizing walk later, and the three of you had made it to your designated room again.
"I...should tell the others where you are." The remaining guard awkwardly pointed behind him once you had reached the door, scurrying off to go find the others. You could do nothing but sigh, wishing none of this had happened in the first place...
"Now, where does it hurt?" Kim asked worriedly once you two entered the room. Your eyes scanned the room for any third party. When no such recording device or maid was spotted, relief came over you. If there was anyone here you could trust with your secret, it would be Kim..
"Truth is.. I broke a bone."
"What? Where!?!"
Your back hunched, the pain a little too strong to ignore anymore, you worked to relieving pressure from your wings, slowly, by unzipping the zipper to your dress. Though your arms were shaky, both fear and pride drove you to do the now hard task alone, all while Kim offered to help. Letting the dress both relieved pressure from your wing AND made it sting ten times worse. You quickly hissed under your breath, hurrying up to get it over with.
