On our way there we saw the cops so we got down.
"Shit"
"Fuck"
"At least their still looking, that's a good sign" kie said.
I noticed that i had 10 missed calls from my mom but ignored it.
We kept on driving until we finally reached the location where the boat was.
JJ opened the garage looking door and there it was.
"There she be. Hey girl  a 1983 formula 402 SR1. The phantom. The first boat to make the run to bermuda in under 16 hours, girls. 40 years old! Forty." JJ said
impressed and proudly

"And still the fastest thing that kildare's ever seen." He spoke again
"It's kind of a junker" kie said
"Really? She's right there, kie" JJ said hurt wich made me laugh.
"Yeah kie, Don't be rude" i said
"She can hear you. Let's just put it this way. You would not be smockin' weed right now if she never existed, okay?" He said
"I just hope it runs" she said
" oh, no, she'll run all right. She's faster than any cutters the boys in blue got. " he informed us. We heard tires screech outside and thought that it was pope.
"Pope. Finally." Kie said while walking to the entrance. I turned around to see rafe, i immediately alarmed JJ and went over to kie.

"Hey, there. What's goin' on, JJ?" He asked
"None of your damn business" i responded
"Feisty huh? I like it. How you guys doing?" He asked. We heard a whistle behind so i turned around and it was him. Barry, i thought that I'd never have to see him again. This can't be happening, suddenly all the memories come back. Him gaslighting me, using me, beating me up for years.
I never wanted to see his face ever again. This is my worst nightmare.
"Well well..." he said and pulled out a gun and pointing it at JJ.

"See don't think i forgot about me and you on the side of the rode. I'm here because i want my motherfuckin' money." He yelled while pushing him to the ground.
"JJ " kie yelled
"J, are you okay?" I asked concerned
"Rafe" kie yelled
"That's what I'm here for" barry yelled while pushing his face against the ground.
"Barry stop" i yelled
"He's not who we want kie, where's john b?" Rafe asked
"I don't know" she yelled and slaped him.

"Stay down boy" barry said to jj who was on the ground.
"Barry... please don't" i said
"I really wish you didn't do that." I heard rafe say
"I know what you did, you murdered Peterkin "  she tyelled at him while backing up.
"Where is my money?" Barry asked while kicking JJ in the stomach.
"Barry stop" i said again as i pushed him back.
He grabbed me by the arms and pinned me to the boat.
" just give me what i want and I'll let your boy go" he said

" we don't have the money" i said while trying to brake free from his grip.
"What i want is you" he said. I saw jj from the corner of my eye get angry and try to get up.
" that's not possible " i answered while spitting in his face. He got angry and went over to jj and started to beat him up and throw him on the floor
"Stay down boy" he yelled once again
"Barry please stop" i yelled as i hit him. I then saw kie being chocked by rafe (kinky mf 😏. Sorry) but then pope hitting his back with a metal pole.
I tried pulling barry of off JJ but it wouldn't work. Fuck.
I could see jj beginning to pass out a little.

"Okay okay fine. I'll give you what you want. Just please let him go" i yelled as a tear rolled down my cheek.
He started to walk over to me with his gun. I closed my eyes. This is it, this is when i go back to hell i thought to myself.
I opened them back up and saw him on the floor and JJ kicking him instead.
I saw pope beating the crap out of rafe and kie trying to stop him.
"I'll be right back" i said as i went over to kie.
"Pope stop" she yelled
"Pope" i yelled with her

"Hey pope!" JJ said while running over to us
"Stop" i yelled
"Pope, that's good. Stop" kie yelled
"He's had enough dude" JJ yelled. He finally stoped
But then picked up a plastic tube and  started to chocke him
"He's good" kie said
"Snap out of it man" JJ yelled
"Pope, this isn't you" i yelled
" dude come on. Stop! Stop!" JJ yelled
"Pope, get off" kie yelled
"Let go" i yelled
"Let go. Come on" JJ said while trying to help rafe.

"LOOK AT ME" kie screamed. He did and with that he dropped rafe to the ground.
"Shit. Oh shit" JJ said as
He saw rafe on the ground coughing blood.
JJ pulled me to the side and cupped my face in his hands
"Are you okay" he asked
"I'm the one that should be asking that" i answered
"How do you know him?" He asked
"It doesn't matter" i said
"Y/n, i know you. Tell me" he said
" It's fine" i said

"No it's not and you know it. I won't tell anyone. I promise" he said
"He- we used to date" i said. He just stood there in shock
"That's why i didn't want to tell you" i said
"Y/n did h-"  he was cut off by kie
"Okay we gotta go. We gotta go" she said
"We'll talk about this later. Don't worry" i said while plaicing a soft kiss on his cheek.
"Cupcake..." he started
"It's fine. We gotta go" i said reassuring him.
We got in the car and started to drive to where we were meeting up with jb and sarah.

◇Fast foward◇

We arrived our destination but they were still not here. I checked my phone to see if they texted but instead i saw 25 missed calls from my mom and one text from my sister
"Y/n, mom says you need to come home. She is gonna send people to look for you" i said
"Tell her I'm fine and to not look for me" i texted back.

"Where are they?" Kie asked confused
"Give him a second. He'll be here." Pope said
"He's coming. He'll be fine." JJ assured us.
We heard cop sirens so we turned around and saw a cop car there
"Shit" i said
"JJ" kie yelled
"Hey, yeah. Get back on the boat" he said.
We saw the car door open and it was a very familiar brunette boy.
"Wait, no way" jj said
"No f' ing way" pope said
"I'm sorry." Kie said

"Holy shit" i said not wanting to be the only one that said nothing
"You've got to be kidding me." JJ said while smiling
"Shoupe let me take it for a drive" jb explained
"Okay. That's believable. I'll but that for now." Kie said while hugging him
"It wasn't easy bro, but i got the phantom for uou, and she runs like she was made yesterday" jj told him.
We all walked over to jj and the boat.
"You ready to go?" JJ asked while dangling the keys in his hands.
"Wheres sarah?" He asked

"She's not with you?" Kie asked
"No, we separated in the swamp. She said she'd meet me here" he said
"Fuck" i whispered
"No, we haven't seen her. " pope answered
"Okay, well I'm not leaving without her." He said
"John b, look at me. I know you feel bad for leaving, but there's no time, man. You've got plenty of gas, plenty of food. Once you get around point, it's a straight shot  across the sound to Dusmal swamp, okay? Once you get there, lay low, all right?  Hang out for a couple of weeks and then go overland, cross the border to Brownsville, you got that? Brownsville you- hey! You got that?" " jj explained
"Yeah. Yeah Brownsville " jb
answered

"All right. Saddle her up, saltwater cowboy. Let's do this. Yeah." JJ said and john b got the boat.
"Hey-hey I'm sorry for basically... throwing us off a cliff with this whole treasure hunt thing." Jb started while tearing up.
"Hey, john B, yo... we were bound to run of a cliff at some point, right?" JJ said cutting him off
We all laughed softly
"Yeah" he answered
" at least we did it together though." JJ said while wrapping his arms around us.
"Pogue style" he spoke again while we all teared up.

"Pogue style" he said softly while noding
"Get out of here! Please." Kie said
"We'll see you in two months in mexico"pope said
"We'll miss you" i spoke up
"I'll miss you too" he said
"Love you" JJ said.
We kept hearing thunder.
"Wait- wait a second. Tell Sarah i said goodbye, okay?"
Jb said and we nodded
"Don't forget. Cross the border at Brownsville, okay?" JJ reminded him
"Got it" he said.
We pushed the boat and he started to drive away.
