Melissa ate her usual breakfast, scrambled eggs and coffee, as Izzie stood in front of her and George came down the stairs.
"You get any sleep?" George questioned the women,
"Oh, she could oil the bedsprings as a courtesy or at least buy a padded headboard." The blonde said.
If only they knew Melissa thought to herself.
"So who's the guy?" George asked as Mel choked on her last piece of scrambled eggs, causing her to go into a coughing fit.
"You think it was just one guy doing all that work?" Izzie questioned as the short brunette got up to place her plate in the sink.
" Do you mind not talking this?" George asked her roommates and only had Melissa agreeing with him.
" Oh, jealous?" Izzie poked at George.
"I'm not jealous," George responded fairly quickly while looking at Melissa.
"Well, I am. But at least I know she'll be having a long day at work." Izzie said to Mel as when whispered "mean". It was at this moment they heard a door creak, two interns ran to see who had spent the night with their friend, Melissa just stayed back and watched in horror what was about to be figured out,
Once they had realized that it was Derek, Izzie commented. " Well, I am. But at least I know she'll be having a long day at work."
"They can't be...He's her boss." George squeaked.
" He's all of our boss" The blonde responded. "Mel? Why are you so quiet?"
" I might have or might not have known before you ..." Melissa said hesitantly as she used her coffee to fill her mouth.
"You! You! What? You knew!" George said in shock.
As Melissa finished her last gulp of coffee. "Hey, it wasn't my secret to tell," Melissa said while grabbing both her friend's elbows to lead them out of the kitchen to leave for the hospital but stopped to hear Izzies comments.
"You know she has been scrubbing in a lot lately on his surgeries," Izzie commented out loud but had Melissa giving her a glare that for the first time intimidated her. "Okay, I'll shut up. But why is he keeping it a secret."
"Good morning," Meredith said while grabbing a cup of coffee.
"Morning. Hey, so it sounded like you were having some pretty radical sex last night, all night long. Who was the guy?"Izzie teased Meredith.
"No one you know"
Melissa tried to give her friend a look to inform her friend that they knew her secret, the blonde grabbed her arm. " We are late, let's hurry."
