"We had been given a miracle. The spirits and soul of both Xiomara and Pedro kept it alive, but I was too selfish and foolish to see that all of you, The Madrigal Family, and Xiomara's did as well. And I am so sorry, Mirabel, and I don't even know how you can forgive me, Mara. The miracle is dead, Xiomara's book has been destroyed.....because of me."

The three sat in silence, the only sound the rushing water in the river.

Mirabel suddenly saw something in the corner of her eye.

A yellow and a red butterfly flew onto a weed in the water.

She took Abuela's hand, standing up, and grabbed Mara's hand, leading them into the water.

Once they were in the middle of it, she spoke.

"Abuela, you've lost so much. Your home, your husband, and your best friend."

She looked at Mara.
"You lost your sister. Had no home to lose."
She sighed, closing her eyes.
"Abuela, you didn't kill the miracle, our insecurities and arguments and overall negativity did. You suffered, so we could be a family. You put aside your trauma to take care of us, and it affected you badly."

She put her hand on Abuela and Mara's faces, smiling.

Abuela held her and Mara's hands, happy tears rolling down her face.

"I see Pedro and Xiomara in both of you, everyday."
Mara started to cry, hugging Abuela.
"I-I just wanted you to like me."
She cried, her sobs muffled in Abuela's dress.
"I know. And I am so sorry." She hugged Mara back, stroking her hair.
Then, she reached out for Mirabel, pulling her into the hug.

The sun rose and made the lake sparkle,  many red and yellow butterflies flying around the three and into the horizon.

They looked up at the butterflies, taking in the splendor and beauty.
"Xiomara and Pedro can finally move on." Mara whispered, smiling.

The two girls were helping Abuela out of the lake, when they heard distant galloping.

"What the-"

"THEY DIDN'T DO THIS!"
It was Bruno.

"Oh my-"
Mara facepalmed, sighing.

"THEY DIDN'T DO THIS! I, GAVE THEM... A VISION!"

He fell off the horse, ready to argue with Abuela.

"I WAS LIKE...GO! AND THEY WERE LIKE, FHTHHFH."

He walked closer to Abuela, wagging his finger.
"I don't care what you think of me but if you're too stupid to-"
Abuela hugged him.

"To..."
"Tonito."
"I feel like I missed something important."

Mara rolled her eyes and took Mirabel by the hand.
"Let's go." Mirabel said.
Abuela pulled out of the hug, kissing him on the cheek.

All four jumped onto the horse, Mirabel in the front.

"W-where are we going?" Bruno said.
"Home." Mirabel said, and kicked the horse, setting them off.

The four rode into Encanto, the kids shouting when they saw Mirabel.

"She's here!"
"I saw her first!"
"No, I did!"

When they arrived at the Casita, Mirabel was hugged tightly by her mother, and Mara watched from a distance as Agustin approached her, bee stings all over.
