It has been a few weeks since Ruby and her brother moved back to forks and things weren't adding up.

She has been spending more time with the Cullens. All of them. She even found herself at the Cullens when her friends weren't there. Esme and Carlisle were more than happy to have her there. Speaking of the parents, they had taken to calling her cute names and kissing her cheek, but it wasn't just Carlisle and Esme. Rosalie and Emmett and Alice and Jasper, even Edward.  Not only that, but she noticed they were freezing cold, they had never eaten in front of her, they all had the same eye colour and they were impossibly beautiful.

Jacob has been acting strange. He refuses to talk to her. Billy put it down to him being a pubescent teenager and Ruby dropped it.

On top of that there was the book. Since she read it she has been different. Apparently her family were witches that have immortality and powers. Each person has a spirit guide that dictates when they are ready to receive their book of spells. When they told her, she fell out with them and refused to talk to them.

Ruby sat in her room reading the book and making things levitate when Ruben walked in with a beer. He passed it to her. She glared at him then took it.

"Still not talking to me?" He asked. When he didn't get a reply he left the room. She drank her beer then read some more.

She frowned as the book mentioned Forks. Tribal legends about wolves and cold ones.

She knew a few legends, Uncle Billy and Uncle Harry told her and Ruben them when they were younger and had sleepovers there. She always assumed they were just stories.

She froze as a picture showed almost an exact sketch of Carlisle, Rosalie, Emmett and Edward.

That is impossible though, right?

She needed to talk to Billy. She grabbed her coat and the book and went to her car.

She drove to Billy's house after a lot of protesting from her dad.

Billy smiled as he saw his Goddaughter at the door.

"Red, what brings you here?" The kind man asked.

"Uncle Billy, sorry to come down here unannounced, but I have a few questions" she smiled. Billy moved to let her in.

Ruby smiled as she saw Sam and Harry talking. Quil and Embry came over and hugged her.

"Hey guys" she beamed.

"Come sit." She grinned. Ruby sat beside a Harry who hugged her.

"Billy, go sit down with your Goddaughter, I'll sort the tea" Emily smiled as Paul walked in and froze when he saw Ruby. He sat beside Sam, not taking his eyes off of the redhead.

Billy moved across from Ruby and smiled at her.

"What brings you here?" He asked.

"I hoped you could tell me something about this" she said and took the book out of her bag and held it up for him to see.

"Embry, Quil. Go into the other room." Harry said sternly. Both of them groaned and left the room.

"I'll take that as a sign that you know" she sighed.

"Well we have been friends with your father for a while. We have known for a while. What do you want to know?" Billy asked.

"The stories you told me when I was little. They're true?" She asked. Billy nodded at her.

"All of them? The story of Taha Aki?" She asked. Billy nodded once again.

"That brings me to my next question. Are the Cullen's really vampires?" She asked. Billy sighed.
