was i a horrible person for wanting draco out of my life? i asked myself the next morning, as i got dressed, no. i wasn't. he was horrible. everything about him was horrible.

but i wondered why he hadn't obliviated me that one time. he could have easily chosen to. i was unarmed and he had his wand. i don't know, i thought, boys are fucking complicated.

"you know—" leo mentioned during lunch, "i heard the slytherins are throwing a party tonight. maybe we could crash it."

"i don't even want to look at draco." i responded.

"but i know you want to go, ivy," he continued, "you like parties."

"not anymore. remember that one time draco put a frog in my drink?"

"fuck draco. he shouldn't dictate what you do. come on, ivy!"

"we weren't even invited, leo..."

"that's why we're crashing it!"

"is this because you want to see molly?" i smirked.

leo chuckled, "w— what? of course not..."

i knew he was lying. he had been crushing on molly stephenson, one of draco's exes for almost a full year.

i didn't want to let leo go the party alone. so even though i didn't want to go, i agreed to it and picked out a velvet dress to wear to the party.

"this dress is awful. it's suffocating me." i whispered, as we made our way down to the slytherin dungeon.

"shh!" leo shushed, "do you know how much trouble we'll get in if we get caught?"

"no." i replied.

"just stay quiet until we get there..."

we crept down the stairs and finally got to the common room. blaise was right next to the door.

"hey, look, it's 'dear diary girl!'" he exclaimed.

"this is exactly why i didn't want to come, leo." i explained.

"you guys weren't invited." blaise said firmly.

"we know." i waved my wand and blaise dropped to the ground, fast asleep.

leo's eyes widened and he laughed, "where'd you learn that?"

"charms. flitwick," i said, "he'll only be out for ten minutes. let's go."

we ran inside the common room, noticing it was packed. there was an absurd amount of people at the party. and everyone was either dancing, drinking, or watching the stripper that the slytherins somehow managed to get.

"we have two options, leo," i began over the loud music, "we can either get payback on draco and tell dumbledore about this. or we can stay here."

leo began dancing, "i like the second option."

i rolled my eyes.

"who gives a shit about draco?" he continued, "do you see him here? no! go get us some drinks. the bartender's over there."

"leo, wait—"

without another word, leo got lost in the dancing crowd and i was left there alone.

i groaned and rolled my eyes again, walking over to the small bar that was nearby.
