With the news that Jericho is alive Edith was the one that took it the hardest because she was the only one out of Rachel and Kory who knew the kid. The girls not having a clue as to where Dick could have gone they didn't know where else to go. So when it came to the foggy morning they had stopped at a gas station slash car washing lot.
Kory was testing out her flaming out powers on a pile of garbage while Edith laid in the back of the convertible car with her jacket over her head closing her eyes. Not only did she have to drive all night to the prison and driving across states really makes a girl tired.
Kory screaming in anguish because her powers weren't working wasn't helping in letting Edith nap. While Kory stared at her hands that didn't get extinguish any fire Rachel exiting the gas station shop with snacks spilling out her hold.
"How's the bathroom?" Rachel asks Kory who was panting
"The bathroom is gross." Kory replies eyebrows furrowed "Don't go in there."
"Whatcha you doing out here?" Rachel asks the grown up who stood alone by the trash
"Enjoying the view." Kory sarcastically says as she places her hands in her jacket pocket as she walks away "You ready?"
"Hey, are you mad at something?" Rachel questions following after Kory who was storming towards the car
"No, Rachel, I'm thrilled to be looking for a guy that doesn't need to be rescued." Kory's sarcastic tone makes Edith move her jacket off her face and sits up
"Dick is in trouble. I saw it," Rachel defends herself, walking off to the other side of the car
"Okay, then knock yourself out and dream up his exact location." Kory demands exhausted with all the problems but mainly because of her own inner problems that she hadn't shared
"He's around here. I think," Rachel glances away with uncertainty before handing Edith the snacks and opening the passenger door
With the two girls entering the car Edith opens chocolate bar feeling like she was forgetting to tell them something but her sleep foggy brain wasn't allowing her to remember. So when Kory curses while looking at her phone Edith suddenly remembers
"Oh yeah I forgot to tell you," Edith speaks making them turn to face her "Something happened with Gar..."
Without discussing it Kory starts the engine making her way towards the freeway that led them back to San Francisco. Rachel looks around at the signs and asks, "Hey, where are we going?"
"Back to San Francisco," Kory states keeping her eyes on the road as clicks the button so the roof can roll back over their heads as rain started to sprinkle on them
