Chapter 2: The Owl and Her New Home

"Oh god did I grab the wrong notebook when I fell?" Mumei thought whilst panicking.

Kronii notices the girl next to her having a panic attack and asked, "Hey what's wrong?"

"I think I accidentally swapped notebooks with someone when we collided in the halls. That was my only notebook..." Exclaimed Mumei as she panicked.

"I have an extra notebook if you want to use it." Said Kronii.

"Omg thank you so muchhhhh! You're a lifesaver!" Mumei said with glistening eyes as she grabbed Kronii's hands.

Kronii became a little flustered and said, "Can you please let go of my hands..."

"I am so sorry" Said Mumei as she pulled away.

"Maybe this girl is not too bad after all." Thought Mumei.

Mumei's classes went on with nothing interesting or eventful happening. As the final bells of the day rung, she packed up her things and headed for a convenience store next to campus to buy something to eat.

"Man I'm starving after that chaotic first day." Said Mumei as entered the Lawson.

Mumei explores the store and picks out a Bento Box, a bottle of green tea, a Korean-styled cheesy corn dog, and a red bean cake. She went to the cash register to pay for everything. Then she notices a tall girl with tan or blonde hair behind her.

"Wow, she's really pretty." Mumei thought as she exited the store.

A few moments later Mumei suddenly feels a wave of fear flowing through her. She felt as if someone was following her. She started to walk a bit faster so she can make it to her dorm safely. She then hears a branch snap from behind her. It was already dark out so Mumei couldn't exactly see who was behind her. All she saw was a tall shadowy figure.

"Who's there!" Yelled Mumei.

The tall figure said in a sweet voice, "I'm the girl that was behind you in the Lawson not too long ago."

"Oh, the pretty one- uhh I mean WHY ARE YOU FOLLOWING ME?!? I'm not the normal girl that's scared of the dark. There's a side of me you don't want to see so don't come near!" Yelled Mumei as she stared her down."

"Following you?" Asked the tall girl.

"Yeah, why are you following me." Replied Mumei.

The tall girl giggles a little and says, "I'm not trying to follow you. I'm just trying to get to my dorm. It's not too far from here. I live in dorm C."

"OH MY GOD, I AM SO SORRY." Said Mumei as she became flustered.

"Wait a second did you say dorm C?" Asked Mumei.

"Yes that's right- why?" Said the tall girl.

"No way- what a small world- I live in dorm C too. What's your name?" Said Mumei in amazement.

"Oh, no way! And my name is Tsukumo Sana. And you're Nanashi Mumei right?" Said Sana excitedly.

"Wait how did you know?" Asked the confused Mumei.

"Oh, I saw you in the halls the morning. You and that Bae girl collided and I overheard you guys introduce yourselves." Said Sana with a giggle.

"Oh, that makes sense." Mumei said as she started getting more flustered remembering what had occurred earlier.

Mumei and Sana made their way to their dorm while talking about how their first day went, their hobbies, and how they liked their classes. As Mumei rang the doorbell she was greeted with a familiar red-haired girl. And she also spotted another familiar girl with short blue hair on the couch reading her book.
