Chapter 38: Play Dice

"Hey, Bae!" Yelled Irys as she waved at Bae.

"Oh hey, Irys." Replied Bae.

"Has your class decided on something for the cultural festival?" Asked Irys as she sprints towards Bae.

"Nope- at least not to my knowledge-" Replied Bae.

"Has your class not been discussing it or something?" Asked Irys.

"It's not that- We've talked about it before but the girls in my class don't want to do what the boys want to do and vice versa." Replied Bae.

"Ah, I see." Said Irys.

"What about you guys?" Asked Bae.

"We decided to do a concert. Just deciding on what songs we should sing." Replied Irys.

"Sounds fun." Said Bae.

"It does sound fun but do you know what would make it even better?" Asked Irys.

"Hmmm?" Replied Bae.

"I w-would love it if y-you came and watch me p-perform-" Said Irys as her face started to turn red.

"D-don't get me w-wrong- it's not like I w-want you to w-watch-" Added Irys in a tone that just yelled tsundere.

"Of course, I'll come. You can count me in!" Replied Bae.

"YAY!" Exclaimed Irys as she gave Bae a tight hug.

"Yo, Bae! Are you fre-" Said Hayko as he spots Bae and Irys being extra lovey-dovey.

"Nevermind, I'll catch ya later!" Said Hayko as he turned around and started walking in the other direction.

"H-Ha-Hayko- h-help- me p-please-" Said Bae, stuttering as she began turning purple.

"I love you so much, Bae!" Exclaimed Irys as she tightened her hug.

"I- c-can't b-breath-" Said Bae in a weak tone.

"Loosen the grip, Irys or should I say, cousin-in-law?" Said Hayko as he turned around once more and walked towards Irys.

"Eh?!?! It's s-still too s-soon to t-talk about m-m-m-marriage-" Replied Irys as she let go of Bae in embarrassment.

"Eheh. Teasing always does the trick." Thought Hayko.

"Calm down, Irys. I know that you're excited and all but you're going to kill the poor girl. Just look at her trying to catch her breath." Said Hayko as he pointed at Bae.

"S-sorry..." Replied Irys in a guilty tone.

"It's alright. Just keep that promise we made and everything will be smooth sailing." Said Hayko.

"Of course! I won't let you down!" Replied Irys.

"How is she, doctor?" Asked Hayko as he waited in the waiting room.

"She's doing just fine. There's no need to worry. Just allow her to rest up and everything will be okay, sir." Replied the nurse at the counter.

"That's good to hear." Said Hayko quietly as a single tear fell down her face.

"You can go see her if you want, sir." Said the nurse.

"Thanks. Can you please take me to her?" Asked Hayko.

"Of course. Just follow me sir." Replied the nurse.

"Right this way, sir." Said the nurse as she showed Hayko the room.

"Thank you." Replied Hayko as he slid the door open.

"Of course." Said the nurse as she made her way back to the counter.
