#35 Disobedience

For every single moment of abstaining from a sin, there might come another moment when Shaytan wins and manages to weaken your resolve, thereby making you give in to the desire of your Nafs.

At that moment you might feel a strong intensity of guilt, which could result into 2 things. Either you repent and vow to never slip up again. Or, you let Shaytan convince you into hopelessness, making you believe that your act of disobedience is unforgivable and there is no going back from this, just as he believed his own sin to be. Thus, following in his footsteps, you too decide that being Mardood (castaway/forsaken) is what Allah SWT has willed for you.

This is the trick of Shaytan. So don't fall for it and forget about all those times you strove so hard and endured so much pain with Allah's mercy, just for the sake of seeking His pleasure. Remind yourself and try to keep your intentions for Allah and solely Him. Jannah is filled with sinners who repented.

Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful." (Quran 39:53)
