It was 12 am. Sidharth was doing some paper works in his room. Suddenly his phone rang. He received the video call.
"Happy Birthday Sidharth Beta." Rita Ji wished him.
Sidharth smiled and said, "Thank you Mom."
"Many many happy returns of the day my son." Ashok Ji said.
"Thank you Dad."
"Aur sab badhiya?" Ashok Ji asked.
"Yeah Dad."
Rita Ji took the phone and said, "Main na tujhse bohut naraz hoon. Kam se kam apne birthday ke din toh ghar aa jaata. Tujhe paata hai hum dono tujhe kitna miss kar rahe hai?"
"I'm also missing you. But kya karu? Kaam ka pressure hi itna zyada hai."
"Office ke kaam ka pressure thoda kam liya kar aur baata maine jo kaam tujhe diya tha woh kab pura karega."
"Kaunsa kaam?"
"Arrey meri bahu laa ne ka kaam. Waaha koi ladki pasand aayi yaa nahi?"
Suddenly Sana's face came to his mind. He started thinking about her and became lost.
"Kaha kho gaya?" Rita Ji asked.
Sidharth's thought broke. He laughed and said, "Apke bete ki kismaat mein apni pasand ki ladki se shaadi karna nahi likha hai. Isliye rehne do."
"Yeh kaisi baatein kar raha hai? Kuch hua hai kya?"
"Nahi nahi kuch nahi. I think raat bohut ho chuki hai. Aap bhi ab meri shaadi ki chinta chhoro aur so jao. Good Night." Sidharth said.
"Arrey meri baat toh sun...."
Sidharth cut the call.
"Ab puri raat doston aur colleagues ke calls ayenge aur yeh log meri neend kharab karenge. So it's better ki main phone off kar doon. Mom Dad ne wish kar diya utna hi kaafi hai." Sidharth said in his mind.
He was going to switch off his phone but suddenly stopped.
"Waise toh meri life mein koi special person hai nahi jiske wish ke liye main eagerly wait karu. Lekin aaj main sach mein chahta hoon ki Sana, tum at least ek baar mujhe call kar ke birthday wish karo. Mujhe college ka woh din aaj bhi yaad hai jab tumne pehli baar mujhe birthday wish kiya tha. That was the best birthday of my life."
Flashback....
Sidharth entered the college. The college was beautifully decorated for his birthday. As soon as he entered, everyone started wishing him happy birthday.
"Happy birthday Bro!" One of his friends said.
"Abe yeh sab ki kya zaroorat thi?"
"Of course zaroorat thi. Har saal hum tera birthday special tarike se celebrate karte hai. Aur tere birthday ko aur bhi special bana ne ke liye iss saal hum tera birthday college mein hi celebrate kar rahe hai. Tujhe paata hai yeh idea kiska hai?"
"Kis ka?"
"Teri mehbooba ka. Woh dekh." He pointed towards Sana who was standing at a corner.
"Sach mein?" Sidharth asked excitedly.
"Abe main jhut kyu bolunga?"
Sidharth smiled and immediately went to Sana.
"Yeh sara plan tumhara tha?" Sidharth asked.
Sana nodded.
"Woh actually tumhare friends kisi hotel yaa pub mein tumhara birthday celebrate karna chahte the. Mere gharwale toh mujhe waha jaane ki permission dete nahi aur main tumhari birthday party bhi miss nahi karna chahti thi. Isliye maine hi unn sab se kaha tumhara birthday college mein celebrate karne ke liye. Iss se baki students ko bhi khushi milegi aur main bhi attend kar paungi. By the way, are you happy with this?"
