People call us heroes. But if you ask any firefighter, we're the first to say, "No, we're not heroes. We're not superhuman. We're just regular people. We have flaws. We have fears. We just show up every day and do our job. That's it." It doesn't make us heroes. Somebody has to.

"Hey, why is Ripley holding all the interviews with the captain wannabes here?" Vic asked looking into the locker room

"I don't like the idea of all the other candidates being in our space, all up in our business." Y/n shivered as she buttoned up her shirt

"Me either." Maya agreed

"You didn't seem to mind too much last night." Andy sounded salty

"I told you, I didn't know who she was!" Mays defended defended following Andy out of the room

"Wait. Hang on. Did we just miss something?" Vic asked as her and y/n followed "What did we just miss?"

Maya ignored "Okay. What are you gonna say in your meeting today, if you've decided you've already lost this thing?"

"What?" Vic asked looking at her "No! No, no, no."

"Wrong attitude." Y/n looked at her as they walked into the entry room "Don't think that."

"I'm just gonna be true to myself, all right?" Andy turned to them as she stopped "That's all I can do."

"Okay, hey. I am sensing some resignation here, and I don't like it." Vic looked directly at her "The Incinerator may have been bad, but that doesn't mean you're completely out of the running. Why would you think that way?"

"You know, just a hunch, I guess." Andy said her gaze moving to her father

The door opened as Travis and grant walked in. Travis let out a sigh as he smiled "Well, we might've bought the whole store. That's what I get for going shopping with a professional chef."

"Grant, did you wake up at their place?" Vic asked her arms slouching over Maya and y/n's shoulders " 'Cause, if so, that is huge. Tavis never lets anybody sleep over."

Okay, this was on his way to work" Travis handwd them groceries "and I needed the extra hands, and that's it."

"Okay, that's it?" Vic asked as she watched Travis and grant walk further into the building and up the stakes

"that's it."

"Loving this view." Maya followed behind them all

They made it to the kitchen Vic bothering Travis the whole time  Miller and Jack were already there setting up the table

"Well, I think it's great." Vic nodded "And I am anxiously waiting for my invitation to come be a third wheel at any one of your gourmet-cooked meals."

"Are we still on for next week?" Maya looked at grant

"Next week?" Travis asked "What's next week?"

"Maya's trying to convince Vic, y/n, and I to try aerial yoga." Grant stated making the two girls groaned

"You and... oh, okay. You guys are making plans." Travis looked at them as he took out the groceries "That's cool. That's, uh, totally not weird and strange." He looked at grant "Okay, time to go. I will walk you out."

"Ah, okay." Grant waved goodbye at them as he followed travis

"Bye." They all stated as they waved back
