My eyes and slowly started to open hearing the song of birds outside Xander's bedroom window I sat up slowly still feeling a slight pain in my chest but, the sun peaking through the cracks of the curtains felt nice against my skin

I took in a deep breath and looked at Xander all curled up sleeping peacefully. I placed my hand on his head and played with his long hair he looks so adorable sleeping

Just as I was about to kiss his cheek door handle started to turn I stayed very still. A man stood at the door looking directly at me. I didn't dare say a word or do anything for that matter I feared what he was going to do

The man drew closer to me and Xander he knelt down and placed his hand on Xander's cheek and kisses his head crying a little "Th-thank goodness..." he sounded really shaken up yet relieved knowing Xander was ok

Something in me told me to break this really awkward tension me and this man had "Um hi I'm (Y/N) it's a pleasure to meet you..." I whispered putting my hand out

He smiled and shaked my hand with a firm grip "I've heard about you...Xander has mentioned you to me"

Red appeared on my cheeks as I smiled. Xander moved a little cuddling up to my side. I gently moved a little so I wasn't in too much pain but, it was cute looking at his eyes closed, make up was a little smudged I laughed he looked like a racoon

"I don't want to intrude or make this sound mean. But, why aren't you at home with your mum" he asked clasping his hands on the bed looking at me with one eyebrow raised

I sighed "Rose is abusive and I want nothing to do with her and I can't get far with these ribs so Xander brought me here. I hope that's ok..."

Xander's dad sat on the bed and took his glasses off adjusting his eyes with his fingers and then looked at me pulling me in for a gentle hug "You can stay for as long as you need" he smiled

He gently pulled away from the hug and chucked "you don't need to be formal with me my name is Jay" he said putting his glasses back on

A smile appeared on my face "You have no idea how much this means to me..." I started to cry my face was filled with glee

I started to feel the bed move again. Looking down Xander was rubbing his eyes and stretched little squeak like sounds emerged from his lips. His eyes started to open and looked at both me and Jay "you guys are hugging without me!" He pouted

A smirk appeared on my face he moved closer to Xander and wrapped my arms around him "Aww is someone being a little grumpy bitch" I smirked kissing his cheek chuckling a little

Jay laughed at the two of us. "I'll let you both wake up. I'll go make us some brunch and tomorrow you both have school but, take things easy ok?"

"Sure thing. Thank you dad" Xander gave his dad a quick hug
