It had been a while since Y/N had felt so nervous yet so excited for an upcoming day.

Throughout the entire first portion of the day, she had been anxiously tapping her foot and chewing on her lip. Don't get her wrong, it wasn't as if she was dreading the upcoming event. It was a date, after all. But something about the word 'date' really seemed to put her on edge and had her nerves inconsistently stockpiling. It only seemed to get worse when she received an anonymous note reading '6:30, wait outside', signed with an all-too familiar ':)'.

She hadn't been on a date... ever, she supposed, looking back on it now. How was she supposed to act? Was there anything she was supposed to say? Were weapons necessary? Or gear in general? Oh, god, did she need to dress a certain way?

All of these thoughts seemed to race through her mind as she got ready for the evening, constantly switching through her awfully limited wardrobe. She had no idea why this had become such a tough issue for her up until now. Usually, she'd just throw on whatever she felt suited her day best, but this was a whole different scenario. She had no idea what to expect for their date, since Dream thought it would be a smart idea to maintain a 'surprise'. 'What a dick!', she thought to herself jokingly, a light groan passing her lips.

Thankfully, her mind eventually helped her arrive at a final decision. She ended up picking out a simple outfit consisting of her usual cargo bottoms along with a somewhat neater blouse than her usual tops. It wasn't as if she had the biggest wardrobe to pick from, regardless, and Dream was known for his unpredictable sense of meet-ups. Besides, you could only use what you had in these kind of circumstances.

It didn't take much longer after that until she finally started making her way out of the narrow ravine. She didn't have a completely accurate idea of what the time could be, but she figured she must've been on time. At least she thought she was until a silhouette of green entered her vision, legs dangling from a nearby tree and a hood tilted down at her form below. She practically feel the smug expression emitting from where he was positioned high above her, the arrogant smog soaking into her every sense to trigger a playful eye roll. Her suspicions were soon proven correct when she heard the slightest chuckle escape his lips when she crossed her arms to look up at him, unamused.

"So, is our date supposed to be situated in a tree?" She joked, her foot lightly kicking one of the protruding roots as he swiftly flipped his way out of the tree. She had to admit, it was pretty impressive, especially since it was performed so effortlessly. Meanwhile, Dream smiled goofily. 'Date'.

"Figured it would've been if you took any longer doing god-knows-what. You finally ready?" He shot back, the grin in his tone all too familiar. Despite having the strong urge to throw back a witty remark, she couldn't help but find herself cut short of words once her eyes finally soaked up his appearance.

Despite bearing his usual bone-like mask and mysterious cloak, she noticed how he seemed to be wearing a white button-up of some sort underneath, laced with elegant golden patterns and sequins, the collar barely peaking through his cloak's neck, resembling something of class or wealth. Royalty. She had no doubt that it must've been part of one of his outfits from a long time ago, considering he had been prince of the SMP at one point before passing the title onto Eret. Does that still technically make him royalty, despite no longer bearing a crown? His sleeves were rolled to his elbows, whilst a pair of leather, finger-less gloves covered the majority of his hands and a portion of his forearms, too.

All-in-all, (and as usual, though she'd never say that aloud) he looked awfully attractive. So much so, that a familiar warmth began to prickle at her skin.

"Ha-ha." She finally responded sarcastically, nodding to answer his previous question.

It was only then her eyes managed to catch sight of a dim red cloth that wrapped around the base of his left palm, held with some sort of purpose which couldn't help but leave her curious. Perking a brow, she returned her gaze back up to his mask's smile, a slight smile of her own lingering.
