Tanjiro and Kanao walked through the palace doors, still blushing from falling asleep with each other.
Suddenly, they saw Kie coming down the stairs.
"Tanjiro...your father wants to speak with you." Kie said.
Reluctantly, Tanjiro let go of Kanao's hand and followed his mother up the stairs. He waved goodbye to Kanao, who waved back.
They headed to Tanjuro's bedroom, where the current king was sitting up in his bed.
"Hello, Tanjiro." his father said, smiling kindly at him. The sunset coming through the window illuminated his features, and how they looked more tired than usual.
"I hope you've taken my offer into consideration..." he said smiling.
Tanjiro almost gasped. He had completely forgotten about that he had to become king!
"I have father..." Tanjiro said slowly. And he really meant it.
"And?" his father replied.
"I would like to become your successor." Tanjiro said, smiling genuinely.
"Thank you, son...you know that this means so much to me!" Tanjuro said, giving his son a hug.
"When would you like to have the coronation and ball?" Tanjuro asked his son.
He thought about it for a moment. "Two...two weeks."
"That's quick, are you sure, honey?" Kie asked, concerned.
"Yes, mother, I am sure." Tanjiro said, looking at his mom.
And with that, the two parents hugged their son, and they all began to plan for the special day.

Third Person POV:
Kanao was in her room, stressing out.
She really wanted to look good tonight at the ball!
She held up two gowns to her body, trying to decide what she wanted. She'd never had these kinds of problems back in the ocean before...
She wanted to look good on Tanjiro's special day...her dress that she wore at the actual coronation during the afternoon was a simple pink one, but she wanted to tonight to be very special.

Luna and the castle gardener, Sakiya Harada, came into Kanao's room. They were wearing simple gowns, since Tanjiro wanted everyone to be included on his special night, whether they be townspeople, servants, or rich.
Luna walked over to Kanao, her blue dress seeming to float around her ankles.
"Are you having trouble Kanao?" Luna asked kindly.
Kanao nodded. "Yes...I really want to look special tonight, but I just don't know what to wear!"
"Ohhh~ I see!" Luna said slyly, looking at Sakiya, who was also smirking. "You want to look good tonight for your prince!"
