•~Chapter 20: Final Fates~•

Sadly, this is the final chapter of the storyline. BUT! THERE WILL BE SMALL CHAPTERS AT THE END! They're like oneshots on how couples got together.

Tanjiro heard quiet mumbling and movements coming from the bed.

He turned around...and he was shocked and overjoyed to see...

Kanao's purple eyes staring back at him.

"T-tanjiro?" she asked hesitantly, rubbing her eyes. "W-where are we? What happ-"

She was cut off by someone slamming into her. Tanjiro had run to her and jumped on her, catching her in a tight embrace.

"Kanao!" he sobbed, rubbing her hair. "Don't worry me like that again, being away from me and asleep for a whole month!"

"Y-you were worried? And I was asleep for a whole month?" Kanao said, surprised. Back then, during times of abuse, it never seemed like anyone worried for her.

He looked into her eyes. "Of course I was worried...because I love you, Kanao!"

"Y-you..." she began, trailing off.

"...y-you love me too?"

Tanjiro looked at her, blush creeping across his face. "Wait...'too'?"

"Yes, because I love you Tanjiro, although I never knew how to say it!" Kanao said in a rush, letting her feelings spill out of her mouth.

"Don't worry Kanao...the feelings are shared." Tanjiro said happily, hugging her more and wiping tears from his eyes.

And without warning, when Tanjiro let go of Kanao from their embrace, she leapt from the bed onto her knees, grabbed Tanjiro's shoulders, and kissed him for the third time.

Even though this was not their first kiss, Tanjiro and Kanao both felt the joy that each person had.

They stayed in this position for a little while, while they cried tears of joy together...until they heard a small squeal.

The pair broke apart, coats of pink blush dusting their faces.

Everyone who was listening from behind the door came out. The one who squealed was Luna.

"Good morning Kanao!" Luna said slyly, giggling and looking at the rest of her group.

The reactions of the others in the group were different.

Although Tanjuro was being supported by Kie, he still seemed like he wanted to strangle one of the teenagers. His wife held him tightly, and she was sighing in annoyance at the antics of the former king.

The younger Kamado siblings, along with Zenitsu, were giggling at the couple.

Luna and Toma were looking slyly at the two.

The pair turned red in embarrassment, holding each other's hands tightly. They suddenly heard a small tap tap on the window.

There were small pebbles flying at the window.

Tanjiro let go of Kanao's hand, and she looked on worriedly as he slowly approached the window, and looked out to the ocean.

There was Shinobu and Kanae, waving hello from the water, and they were signaling that they all come over to the beach.

Tanjiro's chest tightened. In his joy of Kanao's awakening, he had completely forgotten that Kanao, Zenitsu, Toma, and Mitsuri had to come over to the water.
