Glass Tiles

"Well done crowd, you've made it into the fifth game, it is the second to last game" the Baird called out as the crowd started cheering
"Get some rest, the last two games we will continue in the morning, they will require lost of rest, we will explain game number five tomorrow afternoon" the Baird yelled out as the members got into their beds and went under covers and started to fall asleep
"Night" Josh mouthed to the group as he got into the bed and put the covers over him
"Night" they mouthed back as they went under covers
"I hope we all survive until the last one, it's going to be hard to play the last one and the one coming up, but especially the last one" Tyler thought to himself as he sat up and looked up to the sky to see the beautiful moonlight in the sky
Tyler started to get nervous and felt bad, he knew that there was only one winner
"Tyler?" Josh whispered, looking over to Tyler
"Josh?" Tyler whispered back as he looked down to see Josh looking at him
Tyler's heart sank, he was looking Josh in his eyes
They were so brown and somehow so memorizing and they looked so welcoming
He knew that he would know those eyes even in a crowd with billions of people
"Hi Tyler, I can't sleep" Josh whispered as he looked around to see no guards in sight
"Neither can I, come over here, there's no guards around" Tyler whispered as Josh nodded and silently sneezed over to Tyler's bed and stood beside Tyler while he was lying in bed
"Hey man" Josh whispered as he smiled and watched as Tyler moved over
"Come chill on the bed with me, but make sure to go back before the guards walk in and catch us" Tyler whispered with a smile as he patted the bed
"Thanks" Josh whispered as he sat down on the bed beside Tyler with a smile
"Lay down beside me, only if your comfortable though" Tyler whispered as he watched Josh rest his body down on the bed and look up to the sky to see the moonlight in the sky
"Okay, thanks man" Josh said after he rested his body on the bed
"Beautiful night, isn't it?" Tyler whispered as he looked up to the sky to see the moonlight shining through the glass roof
"Yeah, it's gorgeous" Josh said with a smile
The boys ended falling asleep together
-next morning-
"Josh?" Tyler whispered as he woke up and looked beside him to see Josh and then looked around to see no guards in the room yet
He smiled and then tapped his shoulder lightly
"Huh? Tyler?" Josh whispered in a sleepy tone
"Morning Josh, I think you should head back to your bed before the guards catch us" Tyler whispered as Josh nodded
"Yeah, you're right" Josh said as he stood up and sneezed back to his bed and lay in the covers and pretended to sleep
The guards eventually walked into the room and started to wake people up
"Wake up, time for the fifth game" the guards called out as everyone sat up in their bed
"Follow me to the fifth room" the guards said as people started to follow them
"This game is called Glass Tiles, it's like hopscotch, you must look down, you are not allowed to help each other out, if you fall down there will be one guard on the lower level to make sure no one is cheating" the guard yelled out as the members remaining stood in front of the glass tiles
"Let the game begin" the guard called out as the crowd looked down at the ground and started jumping
As they were jumping they heard a glass break
"Number two has been eliminated" a speaker said as the member hit the ground and was eliminated
"Holly god" Tyler whispered as he jumped onto a glass tile
Debby stopped moving for a sec and noticed the guard on the lower level and had a plan
"I'm sorry" Debby whispered
"Debby, what are you doing?" Josh whispered as he stopped moving
"Being the bait" Debby said as she jumped onto the glass tile
The glass behind Tyler had broke, Debby has gone down
"Player number sixty seven has been eliminated"
The guard yelled out as Jenna's heart stopped
"She could be ok still" Tyler whispered, trying to keep his hope up
"Keep it moving" the guard said as Jenna whipped her tears from her eyes and jumped again
As Debby fell, she moved her feet in time for her to land on the guard and killed him and grabbed his gun and watched as the other members kept moving
Jenna stopped for a second and then jumped
The glass had broke, Jenna fell through
"Jenna" Debby yelled quietly so only she can hear as she ran as fast as she could
Debby had caught Jenna in her arms
"I'm so sorry, Josh" Tyler whispered as Josh made it to the end of the platform with a couple other members
"It's not your fault Tyler" Josh whispered as he heard a glass break behind him
His heart stopped as he turned around to see Tyler gripping onto the edge of the platform where Josh was standing in fear
"Tyler!" Josh whispered as Debby yelled to distract the guards
"What the hell was that?" The guard said as they looked down giving Josh enough time to grab Tyler's hand and help him up
When the guard looked back over at the crowd, Josh and Tyler had separated from each other
Tyler was grateful that Josh had saved his life
"Seven players remain?" The guard yelled out as he aimed his gun at Tyler
Josh looked down into the void
"Not anymore" Josh said as he stood on the edge of the platform
"What are you doing?!" Tyler said, looking at Josh as he jumped
"JOSH!" Tyler screamed as he watched as Josh took sacrifice
"Self sabotage is such a sweet romance" the guard said as he jumped onto the glass tiles and made it across with the other guard behind him
"Go back into the main room" the guard said as Tyler looked down and began to cry
