Liana goes to Oliver's apartment and hears Clark say, "Liana... what are you doing here?" Liana looks at Clark and says, "Kara told me you were here. She said you might need my help." Clark says, "What I think she wanted was for you to meet my mother... Lara." Lara smiles and walks forward and says, "Hello, Liana." Liana smiles and says, "It's an honor to meet you." Clark says, "Liana, now that you're here, would you mind staying with my mother? I have to go meet up with Kara." Liana says, "Yeah, of course, um... I'll go make some tea." Liana smiles and walks away. Liana pours the tea in each cup and Lara smiles and says, "Thank you." Liana smiles and Lara continues to say, "I see the way my son looks at you. I'm happy he's found someone as pure hearted as you." Liana smiles and says, "There's no one I'd rather be with than, Clark." Lara smiles and hears a voice say, "Lara!" Lara looks at Liana and says, "Liana, leave." As Liana walks away, she stops and looks at Zor-El, who has a hold on Lara and says, "Let her go." Zor-El throws Liana against the elevator door and she's knocked.

The next day, Liana walks into the barn to see Clark and says, "Still no word?" Clark looks at Liana and says, "None." Clark says, "I don't think Kara's ever coming back. All because of me. I just... I hope she's somewhere still alive somewhere." Liana says, "Clark, you only wanted to see your mother. If anyone can understand that it's me. There's no point in beating yourself up." Clark says, "Why not, Liana? People I care about got hurt. And Jor-El was right. I shouldn't let emotions get in the way of my common sense." Liana says, "You grew up on a planet of human beings. It's okay to feel. Your emotions are part of who you are." Clark says, "Yeah. They're more dangerous than Kryptonite." Liana walks up to Clark and says, "Clark, you got to meet your mother." Clark says, "Liana, I always thought... that if I ever did meet my mother, she wouldn't live up to the idea that I had of her. She did. You also said that she knows how much I love you and I would anything for you." Liana smiles and says, "I'm glad I could have met her." Clark smiles and says, "Me too." Clark gives Liana a hug and kisses the top of her head with a content sigh.
