Chapter 8: Imperial Palace

Thela's POV

Sa lahat ng naging tulog ko, ito na ata ang pinaka-masarap at pinaka-komportable sa lahat. I'm lying on a wide queen size bed, the window is open and the cold breeze of morning wind is passing inside the room. The birds are singing loud but soft and it made my morning nice even more. Hindi ko lang alam kung bakit nakakarinig ako ng mga halinghing ng kabayo at tunog ng mga kalesa sa labas—

Tunog ng kabayo?

I immediately get up from the bed and look outside the window. I almost forgot that I am here on a different world and as far as I observe. This world is currently on it's magical medieval period.

Napalingon ako sa mga kabayo na nakatigil sa ibaba. Sunod ay sa mga knights na nakasakay dito habang ang iba naman ay nakatayo at pinapakinggan ang mga sinasabi ng kanilang commander. Sino? Si Cadmus lang naman. I prefer to call him on his name on my mind. Wala namang masama diba.

He suddenly glance on me that made me hide on the wall. Ugh! Why would I hide? Tsk. Wala namang masama kung titingnan ko sila diba. I'm just wondering where they are going this early in the morning. Eh ano naman ngayon kung saan sila pupunta? Self, I'm just curious that's it.

*tok!tok!tok!

I look back at the door and was about to walk to open it when a smiling face of Tristian appeared in the middle of my room. Don't tell me, he's the one who knock?

"Gising ka na, pero ang tagal mong magbukas ng pinto," sambit niya at lumapit sa bintana saka tiningnan ang kanilang commander na naghahanda na paalis. I glance too and saw Cadmus sitting on the back of his horse. He's not wearing an armor suit but....his face and figure screams justice.

He looks like a prince in disguise. I look at Tristian when he suddenly chuckle.

"You're making him crazy you know," he muttered and confuse is written all over my face. Uhm? Ano daw?

"And you also making me crazy by your wierd reactions," dugtong ko sa kanyang tinuran at nilingon muli sina Cadmus na papaalis na. Binuksan na ng isang knight ang main gate at lumalabas na sina Cadmus ng palasyo.

"The emperor asked him to went to the imperial court," seryosong sambit ni Tristian na naglakad papunta sa isang sofa sa gilid at umupo doon. Kumuha siya ng isang tinapay na noon ko lang napansin na nakalagay sa maliit na lamesa. Sinong naglagay nito doon? Maybe the maids.

"The imperial court? Meron ba dito nun?", tanong ko naman dahilan para muntikan na siyang mabulunan. I immediately handed him the glass of water and look at him confused.

"I thought you already read the book about this land?", tanong niya pa at binalingan ng tingin ang nakabukas na libro sa gilid ng kama ko. I mentally slap my forehead. Of course I read, but only some of it. The thing I only know is that this world is known as Calypse and I am currently on the west part of Kreostland Empire, the land of the brave knights of Calypse. Wala pa rin akong nakuhang impormasyon about sa forgotten knight. Aissh.

Malamang sa malamang, may imperial court dito dahil empire ito. Tsk self, common sense naman.

"Hehe, sorry naman, nakatulog na ako sa pagbabasa. By the way, bakit ka nandito at bakit pupunta sa imperial court si Cadmus?", isang nakakalokong ngiti ang ibinigay niya sa akin at malokong uminom ng tubig.

"Cadmus? So you're not just a wierd speaker but also, you call him on his first name basis. Did he give you permission to call him that?", he asked and I scratch the back of my head in annoyance.
