Nova:
Jesse is already at my apartment with Drew by the time I get there,
"Hey" Jesse smiles at me
"Hey" I say to both of them as I add my book to my 'to read' section of my shelf.
"I'm excited" Drew says with a grin as we all fall in sync, getting ready
"So what's with you and Luke?" I ask Drew while slipping on my dress
"We're just friends, he doesn't like me like that" she says applying her makeup
"Guess you're free to mingle tonight then" I smile enthusiastically at her
One point for me. Who wouldn't like Drew? She's adorable and sexy at the same time, if nothing happened between them then I'm one step closer to finding solid proof.
"I'm so in need of a good fickle" Drew plops herself on the bed
A light chuckle escapes "Fickle?" I question
"Yeah, you know what I mean"
"In that case me too" Jesse pipes up
"I'm staying at Kai's tonight by the way Nov" Jesse says and I nod.
"Sounds good"
"We all look hot by the way" I say looking between the three of us.
If looks could kill we'd be badass assassins.
Once we're all done getting ready we head down into the Uber.
The drive there was quick and I have to admit I'm a little nervous since it's not our usual bar that we go to, the one run by my father.
But Max and the boys will be there so it'll be fine I try to assure myself. If anything goes wrong one of them will be there to help.
"Here" Jesse hands me a nutrition bar
"I know you haven't eaten today and I'm not letting you drink on an empty stomach" she explains further and realisation dawns on me.
She's right, I forgot to eat today, between the gym and the bookstore it just slipped my mind.
I take the snack gratefully and eat it guiltily as we pull up to the bar a few minutes later.
The faint scent of body odour wafts the air mixed with varying disinfectants and an indistinguishable smell that makes my nose hurt.
I breifly scan the crowd for the boys, spotting Kai on the dance floor and Luke and Max at the far table in the corner.
Drew nods to us as we all link hands and follow through the crowd to the boys.
"Hey" Luke greets us, while looking at Drew
"Hey" I say looking at Max to which he smiles
"I'm going to go dance with Kai" Jesse yells over the music and we all nod as she gets lost in the crowd
"Want to dance?" Luke asks Drew, as they too disappear into the crowd leaving Max and I
"One point to me" he says with a cocky smirk, directing his head to the direction of Drew and Luke
"I think you mean me" I say joining him as he looks closer to Luke dancing with Drew but watching the guys next to him
"We're even," he states, not admitting I'm right.
Max waves over a waitress and orders a drink
"I thought you didn't drink"
"I don't" he reassures me
