The next few days weren't as Irene planned them to be, or at least a quarter of it.

After Y/N teased her for being jealous and named her 'Jealous Girlfriend', she couldn't help but wonder why she behaved like that in the first place.

Every day of hers went through many different phases, yet she somehow found herself spacing out as her mind rewounded to the words Y/N spoke.

The term girlfriend just scared her. Being in a relationship scared her. Thinking about anything related to it scared her.

Yet, her heart seemed to like the feeling when Y/N said, girlfriend.

Irene couldn't help but hesitantly think whether she liked Y/N or not. Whenever she saw Y/N smiling at her, her heart would flutter. So, she concluded that she liked her.

"But, is it... like like?" she murmured to herself as she stared at her laptop screen.

Even though she feared the sentiment of romance, she was highly intrigued to figure out the emotions she fought every day with. Those timid skips of heartbeat and those subtle blushes she felt around Y/N were surely something unusual.

It was more than lust at that point now.

Thinking and questioning gradually, Irene's day at the university came to an end. She packed up her stuff and stood up from her desk to bid her colleagues goodbye.

"Take care, Irene, "Yujun said and Irene nodded with a small smile in reply.

She walked out in the hallway and towards the parking lot. It was an exhausting day and enough for her to crave her soft bed. Irene was mentally tired too and wanted some distraction from all those bewildering questions.

Descending downstairs to the parking lot, Irene sighed as she felt her heels were almost killing her. She rummaged through her bag to find her car keys and took them out.

When she lifted her head to see her car, she saw two heads perking from the other side of her car. Irene squinted her eyes as she carefully slowed down her pace to slowly near the people who were there.

As she reached nearer to her car, she heard a distinct tone that she hadn't heard around here. The accent was too strong and it was recognizable to Irene.

Her heart skipped a beat at that.

"Rosé? What is she doing here?" Irene questioned.

Stepping near the driver's door, Irene silently listened and she heard the voice that had her up for countless nights.

"Y/N?"

The jealousy took over her again and Irene controlled herself from interrupting abruptly. Leaning a little closer, she tried to listen to what they were saying with hushed voices.

"Thank you, Rosie. Really. I don't know what I would do without you, "Y/N's soft voice said.

"Don't thank me, Y/N. We're way too close to say things like that to each other, "Rosé said.

Irene furrowed her brows as her heart clenched inside. Way too close? What does she mean?

Y/N chuckled, saying, "Yeah, you're right. You said these same words last night."

Irene's eyes widened after hearing that. Last night?

"Because you were practically chanting these words last night, "Rosé replied with a giggle and Y/N joined in.

Irene's heart was racing now and her mind was in havoc. What were they talking about?

"But on a serious note Rosie, "Y/N's voice was cut off as the next sound was of clothes shuffling.
