Chapter 03: Drunk

I was wrong when I expected a formal and just in the city restaurant. I didn't expect that Light will bring me to a two hours drive Resto Bar outside the city!

Nag convoy lang kami papunta sa Resto Bar. Magkasama sina Michael at Dianna sa White Fortuner at nasa harap ng sasakyan ko. I'm driving my own car at napapagitnaan ako ng trucks nina Michael at Light. Light's Gray Silverado was behind me the whole time.

Hindi ko kasi alam ang daan kaya't thanks to them, they guided and didn't left me.

Nang makarating kami sa Resto Bar, I was taken aback by the view. Alam ko palang habang nagbabyahe kami na may mga paakyat kaming nadadaanan. But the view really surprised me.

It's a view of the city where lights was everywhere and the scenery was so nice. Nasa mataas na bahagi ang kinaroroonan namin kaya't kitang-kita lahat dito even the moving cars was visible way up here.

I heard a knock in my car's window and I saw Light. Kinuha ko muna ang denim jacket ko sa shot gun dahil hindi ako nakapagbihis kanina matapos ang photoshoot and it's cold kahit nasa loob pa ako ng sasakyan. I'm still wearing my business attire after all. Bumaba na ako sa aking sasakyan at nakangiting nakatingin sa kaniya.

"I was about to get annoyed by the thought of you taking me to a two hours drive Resto Bar but here I am, smiling to you and I'm thanking you for this good view. Minsan nalang akong makalabas sa city and again, thanks." I smiled to him so sincerely.

He looked at my eyes and gave me his manly chuckle. "Just what I expected from a busy CEO like you, Solene." I breathed in and let out a puff. Pareho kaming natawa ng magkaroon ng vapor ang binuga kong hangin. God, it's cold.

"Sorry, ang lamig kasi eh," ani ko at sinuot ang jacket. Medyo na stuck pa nga ito sa isang balikat ko.

"Here, let me." I looked at Light when he stepped towards me at tinulungan akong suotin ang jacket ko. "There, better." I looked at him and I was about to say thank you when I noticed that we're super close to each other. Nakasandal ako sa sasakyan ko at naka-angat ang tingin sa kan'ya.

This moment was like some scenes in a romantic movie where the two of the couples was about to kiss but I know there's always someone to interfere.

"Miss Revamonte! Light! Lamigin kayo d'yan!"

My thoughts snapped when I heard Michael shouted at us cheerfully. Nag-iwas ako ng tingin at tumikhim.

"Tara na?" Aya ko sa kan'ya at nauna nang maglakad. I heard him chuckled at my back kaya't napakagat labi ko napailing habang naglalakad papasok sa resto Bar.

As I stepped in, I was in an awe with the whole place. There we're lots of people hanging around, some I noticed was also employees working in companies. May mga pamilya din na nag-eenjoy kasama ang mga anak at relatives nila. There's a band performing lively in a small stage at the center kaya't aliw na aliw ang mga kumakain at nag ha-hang-out.

The Resto Bar's interior was also a one of a kind. The ambiance was so cool making people come and go. It wouldn't be called Resto Bar if it hasn't a bar. At the right corner was a mini bar with lots of drinks. Maraming mga kalalakihan at the same time mga kababaihan din na nag-iinuman. Like a professional one.

I know pahirapan ang paghahanap ng table dito kasi halos lahat ay okupado na but I was totally wrong. Light carefully grab my right hand and as if it's just a normal thing to him, he intertwined both of our hands at naglakad habang magkahawak ang kamay namin. Napatingin ako sa magkadikit naming kamay at napangiti naman ako.

Light booked a table for four. It was also a nice place. Nasa labas ito ng sliding door sa kabilang bahagi ng resto bar at may mga payong ang bawat table. Ang view mula dito ay ang mga lights na nagmula sa city at may kalamigan din sapagkat open ito.
