Silence invaded the Burrow for a few seconds, not even the charmed objects kept on moving, and hesitation was written on everyone's face, until Ginny took courage.
"It's about Teddy." she sighed out of her, like it was a difficult thing to say.
"What about him?" asked Jane tilting her head to the side in confusion, she knew the little guy, she has seen him before going to live in Switzerland, even babyset him for a while, she was pretty good with kids. But she couldn't see what was the problem with him, was he hurt? Did he make troubles? There are really few things a three years old baby can do to cause problems.
"Isn't Andromeda taking care of him? Did something happen?" Jane started asking questions, she could tell that her friends were having a hard time opening up so she questioned innocently, trying to reassure them that she was open to the subject.
"She can't take care of Teddy anymore, Jane." said Harry sipping at his coffee.
"Andromeda died last month." followed Ron playing a little with the coffee spoon and switching from looking at it to looking at Jane.
"What do you mean..." tried to ask the young woman and Hermoine was quick to answer.
"Death eaters... there's still a bunch of them, the ministry is trying to catch them.. but those evils found her."
"They killed her? Did they hurt Teddy too?!" She wasn't showing panic, she never showed panic, she was worried, and angry even.
"Teddy is fine, he's been living with us this past month but is been, hard... He needs attention but me and Harry are both on full time jobs. And with James already in the picture..." Ginny put a hand on Jane's and tried to explain the situation.
"We are going to have a proper burial this weekend, everyone came to see her in her glass coffin during this month, even the Malfoys." said Ron with a little of irritation at the end of the sentence, even after what happened during the battle at Hogwarts. He still refused to accept the Malfoys as allies.

May 2nd 1998
Voldemort was in the middle of the courtyard, laughing after he announced how he killed the Chosen One. Offering anyone on the side of Hogwarts to join his side, with the promise of life.
"Draco!" Shouted in a whisper Lucius Malfoy, trying to catch the attention of his son that was standing on the side of Hogwarts.
"Draco..." he said again more faintly, in a tone that may have sounded worried or tired. His son wasn't moving, looking around like, caught in a awkward situation. Narcissa came to the rescue of his husband. The woman of the house.
"Draco." she called with her calm and steady voice, her husband holding his hand towards the blonde boy, offering him a chance to live.
"Come." she demanded.
Draco looked around one more time before starting to step down the ruins of a wall, everyone looked at him probably despising him.
One of the few people that understood the real theater of the situation was Jane. She never really had a soft spot for the guy, but she understood he was raised evil, she also understood it wasn't his choice and that him standing on the right side before being mentally dragged into the bad one had to mean something.
She held his wrist for a split second when he passed by, not enough to stop him, but enough to make him understand that someone in that crowd, that seemed quick to judge the action of a 17 years old boy, understood that he wanted to stay. Did the message pass across? At that moment she couldn't tell, they crossed eyes, he didn't stop, she didn't hold on and Draco ended in the arms of his parents, safer there, in the dark side.
"It doesn't matter that Harry is gone." Neville expresses clutching his hand on the sorting hat. "Stand down Neville" Seamus said, the only voice heard in the crowd of hundreds.
"People die every day." And how true was he.
"Friends, family... We lost Harry tonight. But he is still with us, in here" He put his hand on his heart, looking back at all his schoolmates and allies.
"And so is Fred, Remus, Tonks.. all of them. They didn't die in vain! But you will! Cause you are wrong!" he locked eyes with the most evil wizard of his time like he was one of his piers.
"Harry's heart did beat for us! For all of us! Its not over!" and to everyone's surprise he extracted Godric Griffindor's sword from the sorting hat. At the same time a rustle, and Harry fell from Hagrid's arms, standing up facing Lord Voldemort.
"Potter!" Draco shouted running across the courtyard, tossing a wand at him, Harry caught it sending a confringo spell straight to Nagini, the snake, that was by now the last horcrux the heroes needed to destroy.
Spells started to go and come across the battle ground and Jane ran towards Draco seeing Narcissa trying to reach him.
"Go Back!" the Ravenclaw screamed while holding his shoulders
"Draco!" shouted Narcissa bumping into death eaters, confused on what to do, now that Harry wasn't actually dead.
Draco looked at her puzzled, wasn't she the one that hinted for him to stay?
"You did great Draco, now go! Run." And she pushed him back after using the kindest voice she could manage in that situation. He had to go to stay alive, it wasn't his battle to fight in the first place, none of the students in there were supposed to be in the battle, all of them were too young.

Again, October 7th 2001
People saw Draco tossing the wand to Harry that day. People saw Jane pushing him away to make him run out, Ritta Skitter also hinted a secret love and accused the secret girl of being a mole sent by the dark lord to gather informations... (she didn't know who Jane was) The accusations died down quickly, Rita just liked drama and as fast as the news came out, another was already following. But Ron never really managed to trust the Malfoys, and the people in that room fully understood. it was because of his pride mainly, also the hurtful words and embarrassing jokes, Ron always held grudges for a long time and this one started even before he was born. Thankfully he was a little forced to at least accept him within arm reach, because Draco and Harry started to work in the same department at the ministry, and somewhat became friends.
But where were we? Oh right.
"Am i the last one that has to see her?" Jane asked confused, why would they keep her body out this long?
"Yes, she pleaded us that day, to get in contact with u as soon as possible, she knew what was coming." Replied Ginny, holding her belly and caressing it for comfort.
"And in her testament she asks for your presence, you are in it." Added Hermione handing a parchment folded in three, she could tell it was first rolled on itself, that how the ministry usually gave them.
"Why am i in her testament?"
