I roll my chair again receiving looks from the people around while they try to ignore me
"As I was saying..." Alpha Liam keeps talking about this stupid proposal of his as I huff bored for the seventh time

my Beta puts a hand on my shoulder stopping my movements
'Stop it' he mind linked me
'Can I go? Please?' I fake a smile to the Alpha opposite me as he glare at me
'No'

I roll my eyes as I huff again
'Alpha Jane?" I raise my eyes to look at Liam
"Yes?" I smile
"I'm a boring you?" I look at him biting my down lips
"Yes" he glares at me imposing his dominance "look, not to be rude, but you are really... ignorant"
"How dare you!" My Beta stands up in front of me ready to stop any attack

I stretch my neck looking up at Alpha Liam who's eyes are now glowing in anger
"Maybe that came out wrong, I apologize if I offended you. You see your plan has a lot of loops" he stares at me as I continue "the new pack did not say anything about wanting a fight or even a confrontation, the leader is quite smart to open up to rogues who need help and a house" I attract the files from his hand as I sit up "and a lot of wolf in a pack does not mean she's aiming to claim property or a war , instead she's helping us by taking the rogues out of the road and safe in a pack and more important she receive the go-ahead by the palace" I trow the paper on the table "you are just trying to wake a sleeping lion if anything she could accuse us of going against her and we will have trouble with the royals" I stand up stretching "I'm not doing this, but you are free to continue." my Beta and Gamma follow me as I exit

"Of course she will say that, she's a girl like her" I stop on my track and turn to look at him  just to chuckle and leave the room

"I told you to behave " Marco starts nagging "in the future, we may need their help"
"Oh please, they will join the enemies to defeat me if they could" my Gamma Lucy laughs shaking her head
"I think you did great" she says
"Oh my darling" I give her a kiss in the cheek as Marco glare
"How's Nicole?" I ask him
"Very ...pregnant" I smile at him "can you like take her out? So she may feel more comfortable"
"She's really stressing the shit out of you out uhm?" I laugh "I will take her out, are don't worry"

He opens the door to the car for me to enter and I thank him with a smile, he do the same for Lucy who nod in response

Then my character created the other rumours

I had the ability to create enemies just by being in the same room with em or even just because they heard about me
But my pack member loved me and they were loyal to me, a big united family where everyone was entitled to be whoever they wanted to be ; women could be warriors, mechanic, doctors or mothers and housewives and men could be nurses, sitters, caretaker or househusbands. I really didn't care as long as they respected the rules

"Jane" I raise my head from the paperwork "the Alpha of the rouge pack is here to see you" I rest my back to the chair "before you ask me, yes you have to go"

I stand up and walk lazily trough the room and over the corridor

I've always hated the stairs in this building while renovating I thought that having stairs without handles was a new thing and they would have been fun

"Please sit" I sit down opposite her I look up at what I think is her Beta and he bows slightly at me
"He's Charlie my Beta" she smiles pointing at the man, I nod "you don't have a mate... right?" I shake my head "you must be so lonely" her voice seems consigned but her eyes are kinda mocking

'i don't like her' i nod slightly at Adriana while smiling at the lady in front of me

I look at her with a straight face
"What do you want?" Her smile slowly fade
"You are quite straightforward, I've always admired that about you, an alliance" i rest against the sofa "I think the other Alphas see me as a treat, if I combine with you maybe they will change their mind, you've been in business for years now and..." i cut her off
"No" she stares at me with her mouth still open "you are welcome to stay as long as you want, I will have my Gemma prepare a room and other things you may need" I say standing up
"I don't understand, why?" I turn to look at her once more

Her Beta has his hand on her shoulder in a comforting stance
"your pack is not even a year old and at the first problem you come running to another Alpha for help, that shows a lot of your skills and I do not want to identify with someone that weak. I need to protect my people and myself I can't babysit you or your pack. you need to prove yourself before asking for alliance all else you should reconsider the title of Alpha you gave yourself. you said you know me so I hope you won't take any office by my words."
"You know how difficult it is! You are a woman and you went through it as well! they don't even want to hear me out!" I nod
"And everything I am now was my own sweat, blood, and tears together with my people: it took me centuries before receiving a hand of help from outsiders and even now they look down at me. " she giggles pushing her hair back irritated

"you are so selfish and egoist! you want everything for yourself, don't you? you will hear from me! let's go." I watch her storm out of the room, I smile at Lucy and Marco massaging my pace "I'm hungry, what's for dinner?"
