"Queen  Luna want to see me?" I ask Marco "did I do something ?"
"Yes, they just contacted me and they really didn't say much"
"Okay, when?" I ask lying back down
"Now"

I found myself running through the forest  with my Beta and Gamma

as i said before: i have a lot of respect for the queen, she really is a sample of woman empowerment.

I arrive at the gate of the royal pack after hours, I am tired and dehydrated and i really hope this trip is worth the time
"Alpha Jane" my wolf bow to her as she caresses our fur "my child, welcome, come in let's get you a change of dress"

I shift naked in front of her not bothered by the looks around me

She removes the cover over her shoulder to cover me rubbing her cheecks on mine
"You look gorgeous as always"
"Thank you, Luna, you look beautiful yourself" she takes my hand and walks me inside
"Come along" she said looking at the two wolves behind me

the two wolves bow at her and then walk silently behind us. after changing clothes we are escorted to the pallor and offered some beverages

The former King walks in, hIs aura is cold as always, he don't seem to approve of our visit but he waves us anyway as we bow respectfully

"You may sit" he alters and we obey
"Is there something going on? we were called urgently at a late hour and..." the scent hit me roughly, i turn my head to the side where the pleasuring odor come from

I clench my fist tightly
"Alpha Jane" he smiles at me as realization hit me

I fake a smile
"Your highness" I stand up and bow, he takes a step toward me and I quickly step back before he can touch me

His eyes darken as he takes a step back as well
"Sit" he simply say

The room fall silent once again before the former King clear his throat
"We heard you are our son's mate" I nod  "then what are you all waiting for? you want to be curt? don't kid yourself, child! he is going to be king soon! there is no time to waste in a frivolous matter like that!" i hold back my unkind words by tightening my fist                                                            "rumors are fast these days, you made a scene after the meeting and people are already  talking, its better to make things straight so they don't call you names, don't you think?" I look at her before turning to look at the King                                                                                                                                    "I'm really not into this mate thing, I don't want to be curt and I really grow out of carrying about what people think about me" Marco growl as I block him off my link "that's why I asked him to reject me and I would have done the same but he refused, he marked Adriana without my consent coursing the process to speed up and complicating thins. I'm searching for a way out but I can't find much right now"

"Why would you do that?" I look up at her ignoring all protocol
"I have responsibilities, your highness, I don't need a mate"
"Yes you do" his voice sound confident and it caught me off guard, he finally decided to talk our eyes meet as I glare at him

"I marked you, I can feel your emotions through the bond. " I turn my head away looking at Lucy before starting back at him
"That's just the mate bond, my wolf is calling out  for you,  you are not my first time I know how this thing work" he looks surprised, I smirk, I thought he had already done a background search on me
"I'm not?" I shake my head
"She was mated to a Gamma when she just turned of age but shortly after they rejected each other, he died years back" I nod
"Stephan Ross was my his name, my first mate" he looks at me

His eyes glow
"I don't care" he whispers
"I loved him" a loud growl erupts through the room as he walks toward me "he was my first love, we were created for each other, you are his replacement" his few step away as his hands are hold up almost taking a hold of my face. i try to keep my cool starring right back at him
"Dereck!" His mother calls trying to stop him

A few inches away from me he stops, as I breathe heavily, I didn't even know I was holding my breath.

He raises his hand as I flinch in defense move and Marco stands up

His hand then lowers delicately  to my neck where a patch hides his mark on my skin

He slowly removes it

He admires the drawing of the moon on my neck before staring at me once again

His eyes were back to normal and the most beautiful smile I've ever seen
"I don't care, Jane. that's your past. I'm okay with being a replacement if is you I gain" I push him off slightly irritated
"I won't love you, ever"
"I will put the love for both of us"
"you are wasting your time"
"I am not"
" you will regret this"
"I will not"
"I will not leave my people none allow them to be treated badly"
"I know, we can work it out"
"I won't be your shadow?"
"never expected you to be!"

I turn to Marco irritated and bow at the king and queen before going out of the pallor that seem suffocating right now

"jane?" I turn to look at the Queen  "let's have a chat shall we?"

it's going to be a long night
