I turn around in bed, again and again, before deciding on getting up and going for a walk

I take out the packet from my pocket and slide out a stick of cigarette

The awful habit of smoking in times of stress has stuck with me since my youth

As I watch the smoke getting out of my mouth and floating away in the deep black that the sky has turned into
"Alpha" I turn to look at Lucy
"Gamma" I whisper before throwing the remaining in the bin
"I know what you are thinking about, we can't risk it" her green eyes look deep into mine
"I know but she's in danger" I say slowly "maybe I can sneak in their packhouse with some incantation and rescue her, she's pregnant and-" I pass a hand through my hair "you don't have to go with me, just take Nicole home safe, I will be back"

Lucy rest her elbow on the balcony front looking at the moon
"Why do you care?" I cross my hand to my chest with a frown"why do you have to look out for everyone?" She takes a deep breath trying to control her wolf  "you will end up dead Janet" she continues
"you know I can't ignore it, it's part of my mission to help people. that's why I have my power, that's why I'm a healer, you know that" she cut me off
"ignore the mission! you need to start thinking for yourself!" She yells turning to look at me, her eyes staring at me deeply, like they can read me or some "Don't you understand? We need you too!" She slowly knees in front of me resting her head on my stomach in a submissive and apologetic way

I caress her head slowly while she starts to breathe normally
"I've seen you dying before, trying to help someone as you say, it was horrible" I go down as well taking her face in my palms
"I would go in that cell a 100 times again to save you if needed"

Her tears roll in my hand as she shakes her head

It was never easy being the first female Alpha

They tried everything to stop me from building my pack

"They are attacking us" I look at Marco and Lucy face before nodding
"Send the civilians to a safe place" Marco nod exchanging looks with Lucy

Lucy turned to look at me as soon as Marco was out
"Let's go" I say taking the shotgun from the desk

The warriors were already waiting for me in the hall
"We are going to protect each other it doesn't matter if we win or lose but in the end we will come back alive. that's what's important! we don't fight for our territory we fight for freedom for liberty!" I yell and the cheer comes back, I breathe deep "we are better than them! We deserve to be who we want to be! fighting" The werewolves erupt as we shift

We separate respecting our attack plan

A lot of fall warriors

But we keep up

Adriana tiredly shift back into my human form as I push myself up to attack the huge animal who was aiming at me

I road his neck and tighten my grip till I hear the bones cracking

His cry is loud before I let go of his body, I clean my face off the blood as I turn in time to push off another one of before shifting back into Adriana

He gets a hold of my neck

The pain was vivid making me back up

A warrior of mine jumped on him tearing off his skin
'Thank you' Adriana says as we jump him together

The situation gets in hand after a while as we are onto them more than they are onto us
'The injured should go back and take a potion'
'Alpha-' I cut off
'Now!'

as we try to keep up with the attackers the sound loud on my head
'Help me' her cry reach me and I tier off the skin of the wolf under me spitting it back to the ground

My head snaps around looking for Lucy as her scent starts fading away

I watch as they slowly start to retreat

'Where are you' I ask shifting back as one of my warriors covers me with a blanket handing me a potion
'A car'
'Are you alone?'
'No'

My eyes snap open as I concentrate on missing people on my pack
"Lock the gates, don't let the pups out for any reason"  she stares at me nodding
"Alpha where are you going" she ask as I start walking to the gate
"Don't worry, I will be back" I smile at her before shifting

Adriana follows the fading scent, getting lost at times

Alpha Liam packhouse comes into view

I take a moment waiting for the guard's break before sneaking in

I start getting weak and the incantation that hides my scent starts dissipating

I shift immediately starting to trow up blood

I clean my mouth and raise my head to see three guards around me with funds pointing toward me

I smile before raising my hand "you got me" I giggle

They drag me to an underground cell and I count every step and memorize the road trip

I smile at my girls passing by
"Alpha" I wink at them as Adriana takes control again "I'm sorry but my babies don't look good behind bars" I turn around and as my claws rip inside the two guards' chests coming out with their beating hearts

They fall at my side and I quickly take the keys and open the cells
"Go, go, go!" I Oder as they start running

Oder guards stand in front of them with guns  pointed

I jump to the front shifting blocking the view
'I will take care of this, turn left there is a back door then keep it stepping, there are two guards at the door make sure to get them before exposing yourself, I will be right behind you'
'I will stay with you' Lucy stands behind me
'Get out' I growl 'it's an order!'

She stares at me before lowing her head and walking away

a painful shot to my neck makes me turn around

I ignore it at first attacking the first one 

The other two shift jumping up on me while I receive the other two shots

I fight till I can't smell the girls around again

They are safe

I slowly let go shifting back and laying down with a smile
"So, where's your Alpha?" I ask sitting up

It took months before my pack rescued me from Liam

Lucy didn't talk to me until the day I spotted her crying at night

She kept apologizing for asking for help

I watch her sleeping in my bed and see the scared teen once again
"I need you more than you need me " I said quietly fixing the covers on her body
