It wasn't hard to organize all the plans for moving on from the Bahamas and heading to Brazil once the decision had been made. And so, within a couple of days, Kol and Emma found themselves back at the airport, already past security and simply waiting for their flight to Rio de Janeiro to start boarding passengers.

And when it came to living arrangements, it was even easier to organize according to Kol. Apparently, the Mikaelsons had yet another one of their lavish estates in the Brazilian city, and while he hadn't yet visited it, he knew where it was and that it's doors were always open to anyone with the last name Mikaelson.

For a moment, the revelation had made Emma worry that Klaus might discover where they are and get angry or come looking, but Kol had reassured her that he wouldn't know unless he took the trip to Brazil himself. And considering his attachment to Mystic Falls, and many other places which were above Brazil on the list, they both doubted that would happen any time soon.

It was because of that, that Emma was able to focus on the excitement which came with the idea of exploring a new city and another corner of the world she's always wanted to visit but thought would happen only in her dreams. Within less than a day, she'd be in a new place with the best company she could have asked for. Not only that, but they'd be arriving just in time to enjoy the coming of the New Year.

The only thing standing in their way was a simple flight. And because of that, Kol glanced at his watch, checking how much time was left until they had to board and take their seats. Once he was sure he had time to spare, he turned to Emma in the seat next to him as he spoke. "I'm going to grab a bite before we have to go."

While his announcement would sound entirely normal to anyone who could have been listening in, Emma understood the deeper meaning of it and nodded her head in understanding. She shook her head as his eyes immediately started searching the crowd once he stood from his seat, smiling as she watched him go before returning her eyes to the phone, sure he'd make it back in time.

Just as she expected, Kol had made it in time. Although, he did cut it a bit close, earning himself a small scolding. The only response he had to it, however, was to remind Emma that he could have easily compelled someone to ground the plane until he came. But apparently that was bad too. Not because it was inconsiderate to others or selfish, but simply because it would mean 'taking away precious Rio time' according to her.

Luckily, he committed no such atrocities and they'd been happily seated on the plane. Full of other people and temptations that were hard to ignore no matter how hard he tried. It resulted in an incessant tapping of his ring against the plastic table laid out before them and their plush chairs. He was hoping that the alcoholic drink he'd requested from the flight attendant would help ease the ache in his throat. But, of course, even then, his actions were a hard thing to ignore. And he was seated next to one of the most observant women he'd ever met.

"What's wrong?" Emma whispered to him with a raised eyebrow. Her hand took hold of his own to stop another series of tapping that was starting to become highly annoying as she leaned closer between their seats so no one had a chance to overhear them.

"Nothing, darling. Don't worry about it." He tried to pretend it was all fine only to earn himself a sharp glare in response.

"Bullshit. Now tell me what it is." Emma's voice left little room for argument or further deflections, and Kol couldn't help but smile at that. For a moment, he let himself appreciate her. The woman sitting next to him, knowing something was wrong with him and not letting go of it even for a second until he came clean.

"I didn't get a chance to feed. I got interrupted." And he knew lying any further was pointless. He also easily guessed what she'd do next, so when Emma rose from her seat, not letting go of his hand but instead dragging him up along with her, he wasn't too surprised.

Dragging Kol towards the bathroom, Emma ignored the looks some of the other passengers were giving them as they moved along the line. She didn't care for the story their minds were concocting about them in that particular moment.

And soon enough they were out of sight anyways, squeezing together in the tiny aeroplane bathroom. With their chests pressed together in the tiny space, Emma had to angle her head quite a bit to be able to look up at him as she spoke.

"You should have told me sooner." She said gently, not even hesitating as she pushed her hair back, knowing he needed no explanation as to what she had on her mind.

"You trust me too much, darling." Kol tried to protest anxiously, but she only fixed him with a pointed look.

"We've been here before, and everything was perfectly fine. My trust is not misplaced." Emma pointed out confidently, her hands wrapping around his shoulders as she continued. "Now take what you need." The gentle tone of her voice, full of trust and belief tugged on something in Kol's chest.

That sensation had him wanting to focus on something else. And so he did. Leaning down, one of his hands grasped her jaw, gently moving her head so he had full access to her neck while his other arm wrapped around her waist, bringing her closer even though he didn't need to.

In one quick motion, his face changed, fangs coming out and sinking into the soft skin making Emma let out a soft moan at the sensation, her hands tightening on his shoulders as she held on to him. The sound had Kol's hand squeezing her waist as he continued to suck on her neck for a few more moments.

But then he pulled away. And it was one of the hardest things he had to do. He always relished in the taste of fresh blood, but this was different. Just like last time, it felt like the best he'd ever had and wanted more and more. But he resisted. Because what he wanted even more was to keep her around.

Pulling away, he looked down at her with a small smile as he pulled his hand away from her face. His own remained unchanged, fangs still out and veins on prominent display since he wasn't sparing a moment before he bit into his wrist and offered it to her.

Emma didn't take nearly as much as he had, but she also didn't need to for the wound on her neck to close up and heal completely by the time she pulled away.

"Tell me, darling, what's your blood type?" Kol couldn't help but ask. Back at the beginning of the 20th century, blood types were still being studied and observed, humans only beginning to understand everything they could about them. He'd never had much of a chance to explore which was best.

"B-positive." Emma answered with a small laugh, the sound as well as the information making a smile appear on his own face.

"So perfectly appropriate." The comment had Emma at the cheesy-ness of it as she shook her head at him.

"Come on, we should get back to our seats before more people start getting ideas about what's happening in here." Emma said, the smile not leaving her face. The one on Kol's, however, changed only to be replaced by a flirtatious smirk she'd become so familiar with.

"Let them think what they want. If anything," He started to say, hands slipping down her waist before, in one swift motion, they were on her thighs, pulling her up and placing her on the edge of the small counter. "Ideas are meant to be explored."

The comment had Emma laughing at the way he said it, but that laugh was soon drowned out as his lips found her, kissing her eagerly and wanting. And she returned it with just as much fervour.
