(AIDEN'S POV)

Wednesday 25!

I am pooped.

This week that has been quite tiring and filled with emotions and a few breakdowns at two in the morning because I have too many things scattered on the floor and not enough time to put each one of them in their place.

Moving out of dad's house has been harder than expected though the time had come. I was ready to leave the nest but I think no one is mentally prepared to everything moving out implies.

My things are all over the place, making it hard for me to move around. My hair is always a mess and I need three showers a day as the a/c is not working. One more hour in here and I will be roasted well-done.

I love the house. Every single part of it. Huge for one person, nicely furnished and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. It would be the perfect place to be if the owner of the house, who lives upstairs, wasn't such a pain. A real jerk.

Jesse Rhys Hudson or Mr. Pretty Boy, as I named him, is a sweet dream just as much as he is a nightmare. That bastard watched me struggle with my suitcases by his window the day I moved in and didn't even come to offer a helping hand.

It feels weird to live just below him. He is a bit anal and weird and cold. Everything has to be done his way. He looks at me like I am a disgusting piece of shit and only speaks to give orders. I am tolerating him because I like this house and it is affordable, but he better not think for a second that I am the type to just stay silent and watch. One of these days, I am going to lose it and unleash every single demon in hell on him. Yeah, I do have this kind of authority.

What I can't deny is his good looks. Man... The first time I saw him, I lost my speech and just melted as he shook my hand. He sanitized his hand right after, which made me snort. It took a few seconds for me to regain my composure and a few minutes to activate my brain and take a mental picture of this Greek god for when I am lonely.

He sure knows what his features do to women. Those hard muscles he hides under shirts and pants... His long hair that he keeps up in a messy bun... Those lips he keeps chewing when he leaves for work in a hurry. That sexy careless look he wears when he is deep in his thoughts, not knowing that I can see him and the hard one he has everytime our gazes meet...

Every night, he comes on the balcony and stares at the stars for a while before heading back inside. This is the only time I see him relax. Other times, he is always in a rush, always coming back home because he forgot something. He swears beneath his breath but for an unknown reason never slams his front door when he gets in and out of the house in clear frustration.

And let us not forget that there is a new girl coming over every two days. It looks like he doesn't want anything serious. Just too bad. I am wife material. Haha! I almost believed that bullshit myself.

"We need to stop playing hide and seek with those boxes and actually get some work done today." I pout as I succeed in getting out of bed. Just thinking about the boxes and suitcases makes me weak.

I look back at the bed to make sure Daniel is getting up too. It is only ten, which is way too early for him on a day off. He doesn't budge and keeps his eyes closed, clearly pretending to sleep.

My dear Daniel... Or Danny baby, as I call him. My best ever friend. Handsome. Big ass heart. Smart. Hot to the power of one million. He would go to the end of the world, dive into the deepest sea with some famished sharks in it and climb the highest mountain to put a smile on my face. Other times he would lay down and play dead to avoid helping. And it turns out today is one of those times. I guess soulmates can be useless too.
