"When are we going back home?" Mari asked with a whine.
She's been whining the whole car ride..
"We're going on a trip Mari." I said and she frowned.
"You don't want to?" I asked her and she shook her head.
"No I want to see Uncle Jay again." She said.
"We'll be back soon Mari." I said and continued driving.

"Okay Mari come on." I said holding her hand into a target.
"Ouu can I get that toy right there." Mari said pointing at a doll.
"You have enough toys girl." I said.
"Why we here." Mari groaned.
"Cause." I said looking down at her.
I looked back up and accidentally bumped into someone.
"Shit my bad." I said.
"It's fine I wasn't paying attention either." She said and smiled at me.
"Hello." Mari said.
"Hi there." The girl said smiling at her. "What's your name?" She asked.
"Amari Jones." Mari said and the girl laughed.
"What's your name?" Mari asked.
"Ayanna." She said.
"Mom can I get these headphones for my iPad?"
We saw another little girl running up to her with a box of blue and pink headphones in her hands.
"How much are they?" Ayanna asked and She looked at the price on the back.
"Thirty?" Ayanna said in shock.
"I'll put them back." The girl said.
"I'll get them Renae just hold them." Ayanna said.
"This yo daughter?" I asked her and she nodded.
"It's her birthday today." Ayanna said.
"It was mine yesterday." Mari said and Ayanna smiled.
"Mom can we go now." Renae asked tugging on her sweater.
"Yes." She said.
"It was nice meeting you Amari Jones." Ayanna said and Mari smiled.
"It was nice meeting you too." She said to me.
"What's your name again?" Ayanna said.
"Kaseem." I said and she smiled.
"I'll see y'all." She said and walked away with Renae.
"Damn." I mumbled looking back.
"Umm." Mari said looking up at me.
"My bad Mari let's go." I said and Mari grabbed my hand.
