Jayla's POV
"Are we gonna see Daddy today?" Mari asked and I nodded.
This past week has been very quiet..
Nobody was talking to one another, I've only seen Jada this whole week.
"Put your shoes on Mari." I said and she did so.
This month wasn't it. I've had my first miscarriage and my boyfriend was in the hospital.
Like wtf.
I helped Amari put her shoes on and felt my phone ringing in my pocket.
I picked it up and heard JJ's voice.
"Yo Jay you doing good?" He said and I stayed quiet.
"I'm guessing that's a no.. but anyway Kaseem's up."
"Get cha ass over hea!" I heard Jada scream.
"Girl shut up fore you wake up the dead." JJ said and I heard a smack.
"Damn.." JJ said.
"Come down here now I want you to witness what I'm about to do ta ha." JJ said hanging up.
"Amari your dad is up now." I smiled and Mari started jumping in excitement.
"Can I give him my drawing of us?" She asked and I nodded.
She then ran to her room and came back out with a big paper in her hand.
"Look." She said showing me it.
"Wow." I said and she smiled.
"Alright let's go." I said and she took my hand.
Fast forward ⏩
The hospital.
While In the elevator I could feel my heart racing.
Mari would complain about how much I was moving around so I tried to keep myself calm.
I was so nervous..
We walked to room 204 and I let Mari knock.
"Hello?" She said and the door opened. It was another girl I've never seen before.
"Who are you?" She asked and JJ popped up behind her.
"Move bitch and let my bestie in." He said pushing her out of the way.
I walked in with Mari in front of me and everyone smiled and came up to us.
"Heyyy." Jada said giving me a hug. I hugged back and looked at Kaseem.
His eyes were closed.
"I thought y'all said he was up?" I said and they all looked at each other.
"We just wanted you here." Jada said and I saw Mari trying to climb into the bed with him.
"No Mari." I said and I saw Kaseem smirk.
I looked at everyone then back at Kaseem.
Everyone busted out laughing including Kaseem.
"I hate y'all so much." I said wiping my tears.
I went up to Kaseem and he kissed my forehead.
"Any of y'all got a tissue." I asked softly and they all laughed.
Trey came back with a box and gave it to me.
"Thank you." I said and he nodded.
"Aw you crying Fa me?" Kaseem said lowly and I shook my head.
"No there's just something in my eye." I said and he laughed.
"She was crying everyday." Mari said and he looked back at me.
"Um Kaseem I'm still here." The girl said with her arms crossed.
"Tia they tryna have a moment." JJ said rolling his eyes.
"Well I'm his girlfriend I should be the one having the moment with him." She said and I looked at her and back at Kaseem.
"Is she for real?" I asked and he shook his head.
"You really believe her Jayla? I've been here all week." He said and I just sighed.
"Get out." I said to her and she scoffed.
"He's mine I can be here however long I want." She said.
"Who invited you?" Micah asked. "Right." Jada said.
"Layla did she said I could come." The girl said and I rolled my eyes.
Jada pushed her out of the room and locked the door.
"Why here." I mumbled and Kaseem closed his eyes.
"You alright?" I asked him and he nodded.
"Just tired." He said.
"You've been sleep all week." I laughed and he just shrugged.
"Sleep with you is better maybe that's why I'm still tired." He smiled.
"When can you come back home then?" I asked him and he shrugged.
"The doctor said tomorrow." Trey said and I nodded.
Kaseem sighed and looked at Mari.
"I missed you Mari." He said and she kissed his cheek.
"I've missed you too." She said.
"How you been? Jayla been treating you right?"
She nodded.
"We had breakfast for dinner last night." Mari said and everyone's eyes lit up.
"You finna make some Fa us?" Dj asked.
"Maybee.." I said and they all cheered.

I kissed Mari's forehead and Jayla's and shut my eyes.
It was finally time to rest.
