"Does this look ugly on me bae?"shay said looking at herself in the mirror.
"Baby you know you look good." Kaseem said looking at her in the mirror.
He wrapped his arms around her waist and she looked him in the face with a smile.
He smiled back and kissed her lips.
"Seem we gotta go." Shay said holding his face.
"The party is in twenty minutes we got time." He said and she rolled her eyes trying to hide her smile.
"You know my mom Kaseem we gotta be there early." Shay said and frowned.
"Lemme at least kiss you." He said and she laughed.
She kissed his lips and he grabbed her waist again.
"Kaseem." She said and he looked at her.
"Twenty minutes you said?" She asked and he smiled.
"Yes baby girl twenty minutes." He said.

"Damn it." Kaseem said and Mari's eyes widened.
"Why she gotta do that shit all the time." He said and Jalen just watched him circle the room.
"Shay ain't have no business being there." Kaseem said walking into the living room.
"You know mama." Jalen said and shook his head.
"She should've just minded her own fucking business." I said and Jalen nodded again eating the rest of the Oreos.
"Nigga." I said watching him eat the last one.
"My bad. These are good as fuck." He said and I rolled my eyes and walked into my room.
"Watch Mari!" I yelled and shut the door behind me.
I took a seat on my bed and started thinking.
The only reason I'm not looking for anyone right now is because I don't want to be like my father.
I don't want to leave Amari over some bitch who only uses me for my money.
I love my mom I really do and I'll keep trying to help her.
But one thing she has to do is mind her own business sometimes.
I closed my eyes and laid on my bed.
I took a deep sigh and just listened to the birds chirping outside.
"Damn." I mumbled.
"Seem Mari wanna come in." I heard outside my room.
"Come in!" I yelled and the door opened.
"What's wrong Mari?" I asked and Jalen helped her get onto the bed.
"I'm hungry," she said.
"What you want?" I asked her and she shrugged.
"Say pizza." Jalen whispered and Mari nodded.
"Pizza." She said with a smile.
"Okay." I said.
"Mari you think I should start dating again?" I asked her and she nodded.
"Yea." She said.
I knew she didn't know what that meant but I asked anyway.
"The girl at target was pretty." Mari mumbled and I smiled.
"She was." I said.
"I need a girl too." Jalen said and Mari looked at him.
"Another girl was there at Target." She said.
"Y'all Niggas love Target." Jalen said and we laughed.
"What was her name?" Jalen asked and Mari put her finger on her chin to think.
"Sarai." Mari said and Jalen widened his eyes.
"What?" I said.
"She go to my school I think." Jalen said.
"Talk to her den." I said and he shook his head.
"She quiet." He said.
"So?" I said and he shrugged.
"Ion know." He said and I rolled my eyes.
