The people started to arrive a little bit early since they were eager to see Eloise RDJ being the first one to arrive since he said he wanted to see his granddaughter as much as he could and same with Florence she was not going to miss her little sisters birthday
Eloise's pov
Everyone got here and there were a lot of presents which was making me feel a little bad it just made me think of how many kids don't have this since I was one of them and it wasn't fun and now that I do have it I can't help but think about all of them, there's probably a lot of things I don't need and maybe other people do
"El baby, are you okay?" K asked me
"Oh Um yeah, I'm fine" I told her
"If you say so" she said
I went over to where flo was sitting and sat on top of her and gave her a tight hug
"I missed you" I told her
"You saw me 2 days ago" she said laughing a little
"Still" I said
"Alright I missed you too" she told me kissing my head
After a little while mom came in with the cake singing happy birthday and obviously everyone sang along with her
Have you ever asked yourself why birthdays are so awkward? I mean what are you supposed to do when people are singing happy birthday to you? Do you clap? Do you Sing? Do you just Stand there? I've always had this question even tho I've never really celebrated my birthday it's always been in my head
"Alright El, blow the candles" said mama
"Oh and don't forget to make a wish" said flo
I blow the candles wishing that mom and mama adopt me I know it's a long shot but I really love them I hope they do adopt me at some point I just don't want to go to another foster home, I want to stay here for ever. before I knew it felt a tear roll down my cheek
"Hey, what's wrong?" Asked flo
"Oh um nothing, I'm just happy" I told her
"Okay then" she said
After a while we ate cake and started to play some games mom and mama thought it would be fun if we played in the pool and I guess they were right since I had lots of fun
"Come on El time for presents" said mom
I walked in and there were actually a lot of presents I wasn't expecting that many to be honest I wasn't expecting any at all
"Wich one do I start with" I asked mama
"Start with mine" said flo
"Okay" I said grabbing it
I started to unwrap the paper and when I finally opened it it was a pair of headphones I had told flo I wanted but didn't want to ask for them since I already had the ones mom and mama had gotten me
"Wait you didn't have to" I told her loooking at her
"I'm just going to say you're welcome" she said hugging me
"Thanks" I said giving her a kiss on the cheek
"Alright I think it's time for mine" said grandpa
He handed me a little paper and it was wrapped with a red ribbon so I just undid the ribbon and opened it I stared at it a little confused when I decided to read it
"NO WAY" I said looking at him and he just smirked
"YOURE KIDDING" I said jumping
"I'm not" he said taking a sip of his water
"OMGGG" I said
"What is it El?" Asked mom
"ITS A TRIP TO BORA BORA" I said launching my self on top of grandpa and gave him the biggest hug ever
"I didn't think you'd remember" I whispered to him
"Of course I did" he said hugging me tighter
"I love you grandpa" I said
"I love you too Eloise" he said
I honestly couldn't be any luckier I can't believe he actually remembered that conversation I feel like it was so long ago that I told him I always wanted to go I honestly didn't think he was going to give it to me
After a while I had opened a bunch of other presents that included art supplies, clothes, shoes, an iPad, some makeup, jewelry, and the most ugly but also beautiful stuff anymal Isaac gave me
"Alright we have one last present" said mom
"Okay here" she said bringing a blind fold to my eyes
"What are you doing" I asked
"It's a surprise" said mama patting my back
After I was blind folded mom held my hand and guided me to I don't know where since I couldn't see
"Can I take this off now?" I asked
"Yesss" said mama
I took the blind fold off and saw a huge box, whats even in there?
"Holy shit" I said under my breath
"Go a head El open it" said mom
I started unwrapping the box and it took for ever since the more I unwrapped the more boxes I found until there was a small one
"Is this the last one?" I asked
"Yes" said mom
I finally opened the box and found a stack of papers
I read through all of them and I immediately broke down crying I didn't know what to do or how to react
After I came to my senses I stood up and hugged mom and mama as tight as I could
"D-Do you g-guys really want to a-a-adopt me?" I asked trying not to cry harder
"Of course we do, El you're our girl " said mama
And I obviously started crying harder I just couldn't believe this was happening after so long I was finally getting the family I always wished for, the family that I thought I would never have...
"You just have to sign here and then it's done" said mama trying not cry well failing since she was also a mess we were all crying even Granpa was
I obviously signed the papers and hugged both of my moms so tight like it was a dream
"I love you both so much thank you for giving me the best present ever" I told them
"No El you gave us the best present, that was you being your moms is the best gift we could ever ask for" said mom kissing my head
