WARNING: SPOILERS FOR CRITICAL ROLE: C2: THE MIGHTY NEIN. TO ALL CRITTERS READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.

A house in flames, smouldering and cindering
And then I break, fracturing and splintering
The people I saw, monsters in my eyes
The people I loved have all burned and died
The life I had was broken on the floor
And when the fog cleared I ran for the door

So many names were thrown into the wind
One more slipped to a little green friend
A trust I thought had broken in two
Came flooding back and fondness grew

A stop I thought would only be small
Was changed by a cheerful girl's call
I used them at first to keep us both safe
But they crawled into a heart I didn't know had space

My past returns, crumbling and burning me
But The Mighty Nein won't be dropped so easily
You can try to burn right through me
But I'm not going to lose another family

The last fan poem I wrote on here (not counting my old Warrior songs) was also about a depressed, scarred, fire-wielding male. 😂

For those who don't know this is a poem about Caleb Widogast a character from a dungeons and dragons web series called Critical Role. He's from Campaign 3: The Mighty Nein.

I drew inspiration from the campaign and the comic. I had been having some poets block but I had been working at a poem for Caleb for awhile and really wanted to finish it! I'm pretty happy with the results!

These are my other roughs I randomly jotted down while I was trying to write the poem:
