chapter 24

can't pretend

after leaving the court yard aria neville and harry who had followed to two were going up the stairs. it wasn't much to there knowledge that the stairs moved whenever they pleased. many of the older kid where used to it but the first years not so much.

"merlin's christ what the" aria said as the stairs suddenly stopped moving.

"let's go this way" harry said going up to the door.

"before the staircases moves again" neville huffed following behind with aria by his side. harry opened the door there where statues with spider webs all over freaking aria out the most as she clung onto neville's arm.

"guys i don't think we should be in here" aria said in a whisper shout tone. harry merely dismissed her before a the fire of a torch lit. they all turned back before seeing a cat. aria held onto neville even tighter.

"that's filch's cat" neville said

"let's go" aria said in a more desperate tone as they all ran away from the door. as they ran down the hall more torches began to light showing more of the hall in a brighter manor. the three stopped at the door at the end of the hall as harry began to try and open it"

"it's locked" he merely shouted with frustration.

"move" aria said taking out her wand saying the spell to open the door, as it unlocked and swung open.

"how'd you know that" neville asked as they walked through.

"i read a lot" she shrugged.

"can you open the door again" harry said in a panic.

"why we just unlocked it" neville said.

"yes and it was locked with good reason" harry said as the two turned to see what harry was looking at. the three stood frozen as they saw the three headed dog. aria clung onto neville's arm once again holding on for dear life.

"go go go" harry said as he ran towards the door with aria and neville behind. they opened it and ran through locking it on the way out.

"what the hell is this school" aria said as they got back to the stairs the three trying to catch there breaths. neville soothing out the pain in his arm.

"neville you alright" harry asked.

"yea just a little sore" he smiled aria became  filled with amounts of  guilt. saw went over to neville and began to rub his arm in a more soothing manor.

"sorry about that nev" she smiled kindly

"it's alright ari" he said. harry just looked at the two with envy as he suggested to go back to the common room.

"sounds good but i'm off to bed actually see you both tomorrow" she said and dashed off. both boys watched her turn the corner to the slytherin common room and then turn around into the other direction toward the kitchens.

"what are you two staring at" rosalie called out. she was with elizabeth aurora and draco.

"aria she said she was going to bed but went towards the kitchens" neville said.

"should we follow her" draco suggested. they all agreed and followed where aria went off to quietly to not get caught after hours.

from a distance they could hear giggling and foot steps coming there way. i'm a panic they all hid behind a tapestry squished together.

"so how are you liking hogwarts" a males voice said. draco and aurora who where on the far end of the tapestry tried to look at who was there without getting themselves caught.
