My mother's voice echoes throughout the penthouse. I slowly lowered Ximena from my chest so she wouldn't wake. My body got up and ran to the closet to pick up a pajama set. I particularly don't sleep without a shirt or pants since It gets hot but I couldn't let my Mother see me all 'naked'.

Eventually, I was able to put everything on and ran down to the living area. A short, brown-headed woman stood tall in the middle of the room as she turned to me. "There you are, son. Why don't you ever call? I haven't seen you in 6 months? Why?" Yup, that's my Mom. She takes a big deep breath before coming closer to me and hugging me. "Why don't you ever call? You have me worried sick about you." My Mom snuggles on my chest and I kiss the top of her head. "Mama, I need to tell you something since you're here." I unhook myself from her hold and she looks me in the eye. "Sarai una nonna. Per la prima volta." I say and her eyes widen up as if she's seen something that wasn't supposed to.

We can plan something for tomorrow night if that's okay." Mama claps her hands in excitement. "Okay okay, that's fine. I want to meet this beautiful girl. I have to get going, così.
